Loomis’ Kenna Mitchell became the first female Super Late Model champion at All American Speedway when she closed out the JM Environmental Wild West Super Series crown on October 5. Mitchell looks to wrap up her first NASCAR Berco Redwood Pro Late Model Series feature in a pair of 40-lap races. The Late Model racers will race for a special $1500 to win, $200 to start purse which is split across each Twin feature.
Mitchell faces off with another former Jr. Late Model track champion in Fort Bragg’s Aidan Daniels. Daniels trails Mitchell by 24-points, well within striking distance with two full points paying features on tap. Aidan’s younger brother Trey is tied for third in the standings with Auburn’s Thomas Martin. Bella Thomsen of El Dorado Hills has advanced to fifth in the championship as well.
The Velocity Solar Modifieds sees just three points separating the top-three drivers of Auburn’s Brad Cobabe, Lincoln’s Luke Kaper, and Rio Linda’s Richard Poppert, Jr. All three are looking for their first $1000 wins in the 30-lap main event. Lincoln’s Will Harmon and Roseville’s Marshel Meadows make up the balance of the top-five competitors.
Roseville’s Phil Wilkins is a perfect four-for-four in the NAPA Auto Parts Super Stocks yet only leads Dixon’s Tim Walters by ten markers heading into Saturday’s 30-lap race. Ryan Skidmore of Benicia, the driving team of Gary Eisenhour and Harry Lambert, and Roseville’s Roy Smith are the rest of the top-five drivers.
2023 F4 champion Matthew Fuhs of Roseville increased his championship lead after winning in front of a large crowd on October 19 in a 30-lap feature. Fuhs enjoys a 23-point margin over his father Ray Molina with the husband and wife team of Vic and Vikki Theberge in third and fourth. Rio Linda’s Tony Davis runs fifth in the championship.
All American Speedway could see all three of its Late Model stock car championships in 2024 claimed by female competitors with Lincoln’s Kylie Glick enjoying a 20-point lead over Castro Valley’s Chase Lopez. Bella Thomsen, Colton Nelson of Auburn, and Roseville’s Dayton Broyles are also in pursuit. The Jr. Late Model drivers will participate in a 25-lap season finale.
Eureka’s Brandon White looks to add an INEX Pressler Properties Legends championship to his resume along with a Velocity Solar Modified crown from 2022. White leads Roseville’s David Shelly by 38 points with Cody Winchel of Sebastopol, Cole Brown of Ukiah, and Brenden Ruzbarsky of Tracy rounding out the top-five. The Legends are slated for a 30-lap feature.
Activities kick off Friday night with open practice. The track will be green from 4pm through 7:30pm. Pit gates open at 11am on Saturday with practices beginning at 1pm.
