NASCAR’s Regular Season Finale Returns to Daytona International Speedway in 2025

The pressure is back on at Daytona International Speedway for championship hopefuls as the Coke Zero Sugar 400 returns as the regular season finale in 2025, the track announced today, as NASCAR released its full schedule for next year for all three national series.

The Coke Zero Sugar 400 will take place on Saturday, Aug. 23, 2025, while the season-opening DAYTONA 500 is set for Sunday, Feb. 16, 2025.

The NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series will also return to The World Center of Racing for its 2025 season opener, while the NASCAR Xfinity Series will accompany the Cup Series on both race weekends in Daytona.

“Going for the win at Daytona to catapult yourself into the Playoffs, whether it’s to start or end the regular season, is the career pass that every driver dreams of,” said Frank Kelleher, President of Daytona International Speedway. “We saw this year how much those race wins mean to drivers, teams, and their families, and The World Center of Racing will once again be the setting for the two most thrilling races on the NASCAR calendar.”

History and drama were on full display during the two NASCAR weekends on the 2.5-mile superspeedway this year. After a chaotic restart on lap 197 of 200, William Byron captured his first DAYTONA 500 championship, and he did it 40 years to the day of the first race run by his team – Hendrick Motorsports.

And just last weekend, 23-year old Harrison Burton won his first Cup Series race – and the 100th for the famed Wood Brothers Racing team – with a stunning last-lap pass of two-time Cup Series champion Kyle Busch. The win took Burton from last in points among full-time drivers to having a shot at championship glory.

The 2025 DAYTONA 500 date was announced earlier this year, returning to the Sunday of President’s Day weekend. GRAMMY® award winning artist Pitbull will get fans hyped up for race day at The World Center of Racing with the pre-race concert that afternoon.
