Fans will be on the edge of their seats as Talladega Superspeedway’s fall race weekend moves to the Round of 8 to help set the Championship 4 fields for all three NASCAR national series, the track announced today as NASCAR released the full schedule for 2025. The biggest and baddest track in NASCAR will also host a weekend of early-season drama featuring the NASCAR Cup Series and NASCAR Xfinity Series in April.
While the tension is always high for the Talladega Playoff weekend, there will be even more on the line October 17-19, 2025, as the race weekend will be the middle race in the Round of 8 for the NASCAR Cup Series, NASCAR Xfinity Series, and NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series. Dega is now part of the trio of races (Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Talladega Superspeedway, Martinsville Speedway) that will cut the field of eight title hopefuls to the Championship 4 and a chance to race for the crown at Phoenix Raceway.
That’s not the only action-packed NASCAR weekend on the schedule at Talladega Superspeedway next year, as the spring race weekend (April 26-27) will offer drivers an early-season opportunity to lock themselves into the title hunt.
“Talladega always provides high-octane excitement and an incredible fan experience during our race weekends,” said Brian Crichton, Talladega Superspeedway Track President. “There’s always a lot on the line for drivers at Talladega, but next year’s Playoff weekend is sure to provide even more thrills for everyone in the stands as we help set the Championship 4 field.”
