For the first time since 2021, the kart and Outlaw Kart racers of the Chowchilla Barn Burner will invade Stockton’s Delta Speedway on Saturday night August 24. Delta Speedway presented by Valley Strong Credit Union will see 500 Open, 250 Intermediate, Box Stocks, Pure Stocks, Stock Appearing, Clones, and Caged Clones racing on the 1/7th mile dirt track at the San Joaquin County Fairgrounds.
The home of Micro Sprint racing in Northern California turns the track over to its kart racing cousins for a special event under the lights.
Pit gates open at 1pm with the drivers meeting at 4:30pm. Hot laps and qualifying will follow. General Admission tickets are just $10 for adults while juniors ages 6-12, seniors, and military are $5, and kids 5 & under are FREE! Pit passes are $25. Entry is $60 per kart and driver. Transponder rental is $20.
Fans who cannot attend the action in person can view flag-to-flag coverage on Fast Four Media, the speedway’s 2024 Pay-Per-View partner.
Chowchilla Barn Burner karts hit the dirt track for a four race mini series in 2021. The Open 500 division showcased tremendous speeds with laps as low as 9.5 seconds around the dirt prepared by Bob Panella. The addition of Caged Clones adds one of the fastest growing divisions in the state of California to the excitement.
Micro Sprint racing returns to Delta Speedway on August 31 and September 1 for the annual “Dual at Delta” with complete points races each night.
Delta Speedway Stockton thanks: Valley Strong Credit Union, Interstate Truck Center, Pape Kenworth, Hoosier Racing Tire, Scully’s Air, Genova Bakery, Van De Pol Petroleum, Belkorp Ag, Solari’s Backhoe, Baker Roofing, City Wide Graphics, Jay’s Mobile Welding, Acrisure, East Bay Tire, Hunt and Sons, Cal-Waste Recovery Systems, PMP Chassis, and Clean Brothers Site Services for their support of the 2024 racing season!
