NHMS Breaks World Record for Largest Scratch Ticket

You know the ticket is big when it has to be bolted to the side of the grandstands. New Hampshire Motor Speedway made it big with a Guinness Book World Record for the largest scratch ticket ever made. The N.H. Lottery unveiled the gigantic instant ticket during last night’s FanFest.

The enormous scratch ticket measured a whopping 36-feet and 2-inches-tall by 18-feet and 8 inches-wide and was officially measured by Philip Robertson of Guinness Book of World Records. It beat the previous record held in Australia.

Norman Blanchette of South Hampton, Mass. was chosen by NHMS and the N.H. Lottery to scratch off the life size ticket. Blanchette also won a VIP experience to the 2012 LENOX Industrial Tools 301 July NASCAR weekend. The ultimate fan experience includes a helicopter ride to the race, two suite seats and a visit to victory lane after the race.

The N.H. lottery will end the weekend with a bang giving away $1 million to one lucky guest during the SYLVANIA 300 pre-race ceremonies.
