Question-and-Answer Sessions, Battle of the Bands and Local Band Cartel to Highlight Coca-Cola Fan Stage Activities during AdvoCare 500 Weekend

Aside from the great racing action on the 1.54-mile Atlanta Motor Speedway during the Sept. 2-4 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series AdvoCare 500 race weekend, the Coca-Cola Fan Stage outside the speedway will bring a variety of great entertainment for fans throughout the Labor Day weekend. Fan stage activities will be highlighted by local band Cartel on Sunday, Sept. 4.

Coca-Cola Fan Stage activities kick off on Friday, Sept. 2 at 4:00 p.m. and include a question-and-answer and autograph session with NASCAR Camping World Truck Series drivers. Scheduled to appear are Johnny Sauter, the current points leader, Matt Crafton, Justin Marks and Dakoda Armstrong. That activity will be followed by performances by a couple of different musical acts, Running Down Romance and Tim Dugger. Beginning at 7:15 p.m., NASCAR Sprint Cup Series championship crew chief and ESPN analyst Tim Brewer will take the stage for a question-and-answer session with fans.

Saturday’s action will be highlighted by the speedway’s “Battle of the Bands,” beginning at 11:30 a.m. Local bands will perform, competing for the opportunity to perform prior to the Fast Cars and Guitars concert featuring Lynyrd Skynyrd on Sunday. Fans attending the Battle of the Bands will vote to determine the winner of the competition.

On Sunday, the action on the fan stage will feature a variety of music, driver appearances and fan participation. Former NASCAR driver Frank Warren will stop by for a question-and-answer session with fans at 11:45 a.m., prior to Tim Dugger’s musical performance at 12:00 p.m. Ashley Smith will perform God Bless America at 1:00 p.m. during a salute to our nation’s military. Ken Ragan, former NASCAR driver and father to current Sprint Cup racer David Ragan, will answer questions from fans at 1:30 p.m. The action heats up at 1:45 p.m. with a Papa John’s Pizza eating and hula hoop contest. Reluctant Saints will take the stage at 2:20 p.m. for a performance. To cap off the weekend’s activities, native Georgia group Cartel will take the stage at 3:45 p.m.
