Cruisin’ With Kenny: Fans Enjoy Baltimore Inner Harbor Tour With NASCAR’s Kenny Wallace & Richmond

NASCAR driver Kenny Wallace wowed the crowd with his humor and infectious laugh aboard the Annapolitan II, while guiding a tour boat through the Baltimore Inner Harbor today. Buoyed by an unparalleled outgoing personality, Wallace narrated the sightseeing tour that included Federal Hill, the city skyline, Fells Point and the USS Constellation (photos attached).

With the help of social media, Wallace and Richmond International Raceway announced the unique boat tour, inviting fans to come out.  During the tour, Wallace remained active on Twitter, tweeting pictures of himself and fans, as well as the boat crew.

“I was tweeting so many pictures, I basically created a slide show of the tour for our followers who couldn’t be here with us today,” said Wallace.

In town to promote the NASCAR “One Last Race to Make The Chase” weekend at Richmond International Raceway September 9-10, Wallace talked about his love for America’s Premier Short Track.

“I tell all the fans throughout the United States, if not the world, that the number one racetrack on the whole NASCAR circuit is Richmond International Raceway,” said Wallace. “Ask any driver; it’s the number one racetrack. And the reason it’s the best track in our series is because it’s a short track, the racing is in your face, and you can watch all the drivers bang off one another; watch the smoke fly; the smoke comes off their tires. The action is so close you feel like you can reach out and touch them.”

Following the tour, several fans joined Wallace and Richmond International Raceway for lunch at Grilled Cheese & Co., where they created a special sandwich for the day, the Hermanator, a grilled turkey and provolone sandwich with honey Dijon and pickles.

“This is a great sandwich, I sure hope they bring it down to Richmond International Raceway for the September NASCAR weekend so fans can enjoy it too,” said Wallace.
