Motorsports Media to Descend Upon Charlotte For NASCAR Sprint Media Tour Hosted by Charlotte Motor Speedway

More than 230 motorsports journalists will gather next week for the most prestigious preseason media event in sports, the 32nd annual NASCAR Sprint Media Tour hosted by Charlotte Motor Speedway. Running Jan. 27-30, the tour offers credentialed media four full days of unrivaled access to announcements from NASCAR executives, drivers, team owners and speedway operators.

“This four-day event provides media outlets across the country and around the world with newsworthy content as fans gear up for the 2014 NASCAR season,” said Marcus Smith, president and general manager of Charlotte Motor Speedway. “It takes a lot of support and cooperation from Sprint, the race teams and NASCAR to make it possible, and we’ve been proud to produce this preseason kickoff for more than 30 years. I’m always as excited as our fans to hear what the drivers and owners have to say about the upcoming season.”

During the tour, credentialed media from across the United States, and as far away as Germany and Mexico, will preview the 2014 racing season. The Associated Press, ESPN, FOX Sports,NBC Sports, Sirius XM, Performance Racing Network, Motor Racing Network,Reuters Newswire,The New York Times,Sports IllustratedandUSA Today are among the major outlets that will be represented on the tour.

Participating media will get the latest news from NASCAR teams, such as Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates, Front Row Motorsports, Furniture Row Racing, Leavine Family Racing, Joe Gibbs Racing, JTG Daugherty Racing, Hendrick Motorsports, Michael Waltrip Racing, Stewart-Haas Racing, Team Penske, Richard Childress Racing, Richard Petty Motorsports, Roush Fenway Racing and Wood Brothers Racing. Media will also be treated to a luncheon and press event at Charlotte Motor Speedway. NASCAR Chairman Brian France will offer his state of the sport address during the final day of the NASCAR Sprint Media Tour hosted by Charlotte Motor Speedway.
