Drive Your Car on Track at Sonoma Raceway

Fans who’ve dreamed of taking a few laps around the Sonoma Raceway road course can turn those fantasies into reality, as the Sonoma Chapter of Speedway Children’s Charities (SCC) hosts its first-ever Laps for Charity event on Saturday, Jan. 18.

For the first time, race fans and community members can enjoy a few laps around the challenging track, all in the name of charity.

This unique experience includes pre-lap instruction with professional racing instructors, three lead-follow laps around the 12-turn, 2.52-mile circuit and a picture of your car on track. Cost is just $100, and all proceeds benefit kids in need through Sonoma County youth organizations.

Speedway Children’s Charities, the charitable arm of Sonoma Raceway, has distributed more than $4.5 million to Sonoma County youth groups since 2001.

A limited number of spots in half-hour increments are now available between 11:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 18. Participants must be 18 years old or older, and passengers will not be permitted. All cars must have mufflers and pass a basic technical inspection.
