Texas Motor Speedway to Host Free Daytona 500 Watch Party on Big Hoss for Campers, Tailgaters

All the on-track excitement of the 2024 Daytona 500 weekend and much more will be shown on Big Hoss TV and available for free to campers and tailgaters alike when Texas Motor Speedway opens its infield for the No Limits Daytona 500 Watch Party Weekend on Feb. 17-18.

Full weekend access to the speedway’s GEICO Infield Campground opens Sat., Feb. 17, at 8 a.m. for campers and tailgaters through the south tunnel. Access for Sunday-only fans is also at 8 a.m. through the south tunnel. Campers and tailgaters can listen to all the action on Big Hoss TV on 97.7 FM. Leashed dogs are allowed on property. Golf carts, ATVs, and two-wheeled motorized vehicles are prohibited.

Representatives of the Texas Motor Speedway Ticket office will be on hand both Saturday and Sunday with a list of grandstand seats and camping spots available to choose from for the April 12-14 Autotrader EchoPark Automotive 400 NASCAR tripleheader weekend.

“The No Limits Daytona 500 Watch Party is a great way to kick off the 2024 NASCAR season and welcome our great race fans back to Texas Motor Speedway to enjoy a fantastic weekend of racing together,” said Texas Motor Speedway Executive Vice President & General Manager Mark Faber. “Campers and tailgaters will have the opportunity to unpack their gear after a cold winter and watch all the action from Daytona watching on the new and improved Big Hoss TV from our GEICO Infield Campground. We haven’t been able to host this event for the past couple of years so looking forward to starting the tradition once again.”

The new and improved Big Hoss TV, located above Big Frig’s Burnout Alley on the speedway’s backstretch, was unveiled during last September’s Autotrader EchoPark Automotive 400 weekend. The DigiLED Vision Ultra screen provided by Argyle, Texas-based GoVision, is 10% larger (22,692 sq. ft. to 20,660 sq. ft.), has 22% more pixels (8,236,800 total pixels to 6,405,120 total pixels), 20% higher resolution (16mm to 20mm), and is 16% brighter (7,000 nits calibrated brightness to 6,000 nits calibrated brightness) than the original screen installed in 2014.
