For the 9th consecutive season, Olson Apartments of Agawam, MA has signed on to continue their participation in the Stafford Speedway contingency program. Olson Apartments will provide a weekly $75 bonus to each SK Light third place finisher this season, providing an extra $1,650 for drivers during the 2024 season.
“We’re happy to be supporting Stafford and the SK Light division for our 9th season together,” said Mark Olson, owner of Olson Apartments. “My wife and I come to the track each week and we love not only talking with all of the competitors in the paddock area, but we really enjoy the show with the level of competition that Stafford offers every Friday night. The show is run very well by Stafford and you get to see a lot of racing in a matter of only a couple of hours. We’ll have to start thinking about doing our 10th season next year.”
Speaking to the level of competition in Stafford’s SK Light division, the 2023 season saw 9 drivers record a third place finish in 15 races after having 11 drivers from 19 races in 2022 and 11 drivers from 20 races in 2020. George Bessette, Jr. and Tyler Chapman led all drivers with 3 third place finishes each, followed by Jason Chapman and Brian Sullivan with 2 each. Nick Anglace, Bob Charland, Tyler Barry, Tyler Alkas, and Meghan Fuller all notched a single third place effort.
