Grant Enfinger will win the Fred’s 250 at Talladega Superspeedway. This is his first NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race. GMS Racing will sweep the superspeedway races in 2016 as the victor. Enfinger was the 2015 ARCA champion.

“It’s unbelievable. This is my home track. It’s just so special for everybody thats here. We came here as fans; thats how this whole deal started. This is for these guys (the team) right here. It’s pretty unbelievable,” said Enfinger in a post race interview.

The first half saw Enfinger taking an early lead after starting on the front row. He attempted to block the momentum from both the outside and inside lane. However, the bottom lane had the momentum in the early stages of the race. The caution flew for John Hunter Nemechek, who blew up as the field was on the backstretch. When the field went back to green, the inside lane continued to have the momentum. Korbin Forrister dropped back of the pack because he was shuffled out of the back. After shuffling Austin Cindric out of the lead of the outside lane, Timothy Peters was able to lead the outside lane to the front. Cody Coughlin was shuffled out of the draft, but stalled on the backstretch. After going back to green, the caution flew due a spin by John Wes Townley, who was battling for the lead, that caught Daniel Hemric, who was racing his way out of being eliminated. Peters was the leader, William Byron was second, Ben Rhodes was third, Ben Kennedy was fourth, and Brandon Brown rounded out the top five as the race entered the second half.

At the beginning of the second half, Peters started as the leader, but the outside lane pushed Kennedy to the lead. However, the caution flew after a spin by Dylan Lupton that caught Brandon Hightower and Cody Ware on the front stretch. When the field went back to green, the inside and outside lane had the same momentum, but the caution flew for a big wreck that started when Ben Rhodes shot to the outside wall and went back down into the pack to collect numerous cars. After a lengthy cleanup, the race went back to green with Enfinger as the early leader, but Matt Tifft continued to swap the lead. The outside lane lost momentum as drivers were working on the bottom. The caution flew for a single car spin by Hemric. When the field went back to green, it was a GMS Racing trio with Enfinger, Gallagher, and Kennedy, but the caution flew as Crafton blew an engine. The field went back to green with two laps remaining, but Enfinger ended up with the victory, Gallagher finished second, Peters finished third, Rico Abreu finished fourth, and Kennedy rounded out the top-five.

The race saw seven cautions for 33 laps. The average speed of the race was 119.161 mph. The time of race was 2 hours, 5 minutes, and 54 seconds. The margin of victory was 0.107 seconds.

Hemric and Nemechek are the two drivers who will not advance to the “Round of 6” in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series chase. Going into Martinsville, Byron will be the top seed with his win in New Hampshire. Bell, Peters, Kennedy, Sauter, and Crafton remain in the Chase.

Next up for the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series will be the Texas Roadhouse 200 at Martinsville Speedway. Fox Sports 1 and Motor Racing Network will have the call at 1:30 p.m. EST.

Since 1993, no driver has won an ARCA Series championship driving for their own team. That is about to change.

Mason Mitchell, 20, needs to finish 35^th or better in Friday evening’s ARCA 98.9 200 at Kansas Speedway to clinch the title. With just 34 cars entered for the event, he has automatically clinched the title over Grant Enfinger, who trails Mitchell by 200 points entering the final race of the season. And in becoming the champion – he is the first driver/owner since Tim Steele did so in 1993 to debut a team and win the title in the same year.

“We want to make sure that when we start the race that we have it wrapped up,” said Mitchell on “The Speedy Digest” Wednesday evening. “Hopefully, we qualify well. If we can qualify where we have been qualifying, then we can get some qualifying points and we don’t have to worry about the point’s situation at all.”

After racing for the Roulo Brothers and Empire Racing in 2013, he made the choice of starting his own organization. Mason Mitchell Motorsports opened its doors prior to Daytona and has not looked back ever since. With hard work and determination, Mitchell has turned a start-up organization into a championship winning one.

With two mechanical issues that hindered his results at O’Reilly Raceway Park and Madison International Speedway, he has finished inside of the top-10 every event except for those. His No. 98 Ford has been a model for consistency, and leading at least two laps in all but four races has helped extend his gap over Enfinger.

“It would mean a lot just because I know how hard I have worked for it, my family has worked for it, my friends for supporting and most importantly – the whole Mason Mitchell [Motorsports] team,” said Mitchell, who chose to run the No. 98 because because Benny Parsons won two ARCA Series championships driving the number.

“It really is about the people that you support yourself with. The people that work their will work day and night to get to a race and you have to do everything you can to make it possible. It can be an uphill battle at times, but you just have to have faith in yourself and believe and know that you can keep it going. I knew it was going to be really hard [to win the title], but this isn’t like a surprise to me at all because it is what I wanted to do and what we set our goal to be.”

For this weekend’s race, Mitchell’s Ford will sport a bright pink paint scheme for breast cancer awareness. Plenty of his family and friends will be making the three-hour drive from his hometown of West Des Moines, Iowa for the championship celebration at Kansas.

Although his plans are not confirmed for 2015, Mitchell has hopes of moving up the ranks to either the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series or Nationwide Series.

“There is nothing on the works for that. Mason Mitchell Motorsports is still going to be an ARCA team and we are still working on things for that. We have a heck of a team here and all of the guys dig really hard. We did some crazy stuff at the beginning of the year to get started with everybody.”

 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Sunoco Rookie of the Year contender, Kyle Larson, has won the pole award for the ARCA 200 at Pocono. Larson’s No. 4 Chevrolet, fielded by Turner-Scott Motorsports, set the pace in ARCA Series qualifying with a staggering time of 53.106 seconds – edging out second-place qualifier, Brennan Poole, by over a tenth of a second.

Larson will be pulling the double this weekend as he will race the No. 42 Chevrolet in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series as per usual. Prior to Pocono, Larson has run just two career ARCA Series events, including a second-place finish at Daytona last season. During this weekend’s event, Larson has teamed up with his Cup Series sponsor, Target, to run the ARCA Series event in an attempt to gather more experience before hitting the Pocono Raceway for the first time.

“It just helps me learn the track a little bit better. I’ve never raced here before. I’m trying to run as many laps as I can,” Larson said. “I’m not sure if it’s hurting me a whole lot, but it certainly is helping.”

Larson later joked about how the team has made him drive around town in his Chevrolet Camaro – attempting to figure out a way to shift smoother in the Cup Series car where drivers shift at least two times per lap.

Justin Allison will start third in the No. 88 car. Allison is the grandson of former NASCAR driver, Donnie Allison. Current ARCA Series point leader, Grant Enfinger, will start ninth as teammate to Allison. Entering Pocono, Enfinger has five top-10s in six ARCA Series races this year. Of those who qualified inside of the top-10, Poole (who will be replaced by John Wes Townley for Saturday’s event), Frank Kimmel and Enfinger are the only drivers to record a victory in the ARCA Series.
