The 39-lap feature race honors late USAC champion and three-time Indianapolis 500 starter Bryan Clauson. In addition, it increases awareness of the Indiana Donor Network and its Driven2SaveLives campaign.
Let’s take a look at the format.

Up to four promoters options will be available to start the event.
**The Stoops Pursuit starting lineup is inverted by fastest hot lap time, with promoter’s options starting at the rear. Any car involved in a caution is eliminated. Every five laps, a competition yellow flag will be displayed, and cars with a net loss in position will be called to exit the track.
**A checkered flag ends the final segment, with the winner earning $1,500 plus $100 for each position gained. All race participants will receive a free right rear tire courtesy of Hoosier.

The drivers and teams in EuroNASCAR PRO and EuroNASCAR 2 have completed the first ever laps on EuroNASCAR cars at the Motorsport Arena Oschersleben, the new venue of the NASCAR GP Germany. The 3.668 kilometer circuit offered them a new set of challenges in this very important event, as all drivers will drop the two worst results out of ten races at the conclusion of the regular season. At the end of four free practice sessions across both divisions, two title contenders took the top spots in the combined times. Vittorio Ghirelli topped the standings in EuroNASCAR PRO while Paul Jouffreau was the fastest in EuroNASCAR 2.
EuroNASCAR PRO: Ghirelli continues on top form
Vittorio Ghirelli scored a victory in each of the previous two events and looks ready to challenge for another win in Germany. The driver of the #72 Team Bleekemolen Toyota Camry showed a dominant pace as he set the fastest lap time in both practice sessions, with his benchmark time of 1:31.392 proving to be unbeatable for the other competitors. The Italian is currently sitting just seven points behind Gianmarco Ercoli and could possibly take over the championship lead if his excellent form continues in the upcoming Qualifying and races.
Ercoli himself was the closest driver to Ghirelli as his best lap time of 1:31.752 was enough to secure second place. He was followed by Liam Hezemans, who finished third and led the Junior Trophy by the slimmest of margins. Hezemans and Vladimiros Tziortzis quickly adapted to the Oschersleben circuit and both were able to set a lap time in the 1:31 mark, with the Hendriks Motorsport driver managing to edge out his Academy / Alex Caffi Motorsport rival by just 0.019 seconds.
Marc Goossens returned behind the wheel with the goal of scoring maximum points. The fifth place in Free Practice could be the perfect start to put on a charge towards the top of the ranks. He was followed by Sebastiaan Bleekemolen and Giorgio Maggi, who are both looking to rebound after struggling in Most. The latter also completed the top-3 in the special classification for drivers aged 25 and under.
Anthony Kumpen, Tobias Dauenhauer and Martin Doubek rounded out the top-10 positions. The Challenger Trophy was led by Max Lanza in eleventh place. Fourteenth place finisher Thomas Toffel was second in the special classification rankings for elite amateurs in EuroNASCAR PRO. Ulysse Delsaux, who is celebrating his 26th birthday today, was 15th fastest, finishing in front of his team boss Lucas Lasserre and 3F Racing’s Ryan Vargas. The American wildcard was ahead of Fabrizio Armetta, who completed the Challenger Trophy top-3 in 18th place overall.
EuroNASCAR 2: Extra experience paying off for Jouffreau
Paul Jouffreau’s stocks are at an all time high after he became the first driver to win in both EuroNASCAR PRO and EuroNASCAR 2 in the same season. While the 19-year old Frenchman continues to do double duty in Germany, he is mainly focusing on EuroNASCAR 2 as only three points separate him from championship leader Vladimiros Tziortzis. Competing in both championships meant that Jouffreau was able to log more laps and with Oschersleben being a new track for everyone, the extra experience may prove a valuable advantage. His best time of 1:32.032 allowed him to top the combined free practice leaderboard.
Jouffreau leads another driver who is also competing in both classes this weekend: Tziortzis. The Cypriot made it clear that he isn’t going to be easily beaten by finishing second in two exciting practice sessions. While racing exclusively in EuroNASCAR 2, Alberto Naska quickly adapted to the Oschersleben circuit. The Italian superstar topped the first session before ending his day in third place, just 0.314 seconds away from the top.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, Gil Linster ended up in fourth position. The Luxembourger has finished fourth in six out of eight races this year and the charm of finishing there seems to be continuing in Germany. Linster’s teammate Martin Doubek completes the top-5 ahead of Thomas Toffel, who was quickest in the Rookie Trophy. The Swiss driver edged Trophy leader Thomas Dombrowski by just 0.046 seconds to top the special classification for debuting drivers.
Toffel’s teammate Claudio Cappelli started his day strongly by finishing fourth in the first session. He wasn’t able to improve his times by a considerable amount in the second session, but it was still enough for the Italian to lead the Legend Trophy ahead of Melvin de Groot and Roberto Benedetti. De Groot will be a driver to watch as he wants to seize the opportunity to score maximum points in Germany given that he missed the first round at Valencia. Jack Davidson completed the Rookie Trophy top-3 in twelfth place while Arianna Casoli led the Lady Trophy in 21st position.
The first ever NASCAR GP Germany at Oschersleben will continue on Saturday with Qualifying and the first races for both divisions. All qualifying sessions and races will be broadcast live on EuroNASCAR’s YouTube channel, Motorsport.tv, and on many TV services around the world.

Can you imagine a 90 percent win record in a season? How about racing from April to October, on different track, against the best around, and only losing twice?
To most, those are video game-like numbers. For Jose Parga, it’s reality.
The 26-year-old DIRTcar Pro Late Model standout from New Berlin, IL, has won 19 of the 21 DIRTcar-sanctioned events he’s entered this year. When asked to how to describe this dream season, Parga paused… trying grasp its enormity.
“It’s unbelievable, really,” he said.
Now, the hunt for win #20 of the season continues during the 2023 DIRTcar Fall Nationals – Thursday-Saturday, Sept. 28-30 – where he’ll also wrap up his fourth career DIRTcar national points championship. Parga will take on the quarter-mile Lincoln Speedway in Lincoln, IL, going for a season-milestone victory at a track he’s won four times at this year.
“I’m really hoping we can get that 20th win so we can get it out of the way and be done,” he said. “I’m really looking forward to getting there Thursday and trying a few things that we’ve been wanting to try all year in a little test session there.”
Parga had not lost a single race all season until two weeks ago when flat tires ruined his winning streak for two straight nights. Prior, he’d put together a streak of 19 victories in 19 starts – a division record, one the DIRTcar world may never see the likes of again.
“I’ve always been [taught] that if you work hard at something, you get what you want,” Parga said. “Obviously, you want to win every race, but it’s kind of crazy – I would have never thought I would have come close to winning as much races as I’ve raced.
“I’ve only lost twice this year. I would have never thought of that.”
Now 19-for-21 on the season, the big question remains – how did he do it?
“I’ve had a good car, and I feel like it’s a lot of me and the car [meshing] together – my driving style and how this car likes to be driven,” Parga said. “It works so good together, and we’re tough to beat right now.”
Over the winter, the team made a switch in chassis manufacturer. Parga’s cousin, Brandon Sheppard, had made the jump from Rocket to Longhorn Chassis, and Parga considered following suit. That was until Tennessee Super Late Model racer Cory Hedgecock – Parga’s Crate engine builder – offered him a deal on a frame from his new brand – BMF Race Cars.
Right out of the gate, the JLP Concrete, BMF/Eagle #6P was fast, notching five wins in five races in April. From there on out, the hours put in the shop carried them to an incredible win streak.
“We just made sure we were 100 percent ready each and every week,” Parga said. “We don’t half-ass our operation. If we’re not 100 percent ready and know that we’re ready and have no excuses, we just won’t go. That’s really kind of been the main thing – our preparation.”
Looking back, Parga and his team never once imagined this would be their reality. It’s a streak and season other drivers only dream about. And It’s not over yet. He still wants more.
“Sitting down at the beginning of the year, we had expectations to just win some races and see what we could do,” Parga said. “We didn’t know if we were going to struggle or not.
“To win like we’ve been doing is unbelievable.”
Catch Parga in the DIRTcar Pro Late Model division at the DIRTcar Fall Nationals at Lincoln Speedway next Thu-Sat night, Sept. 28-30. Tickets will be on sale at the gate. For more information, visit DIRTcar.com/Events/DIRTcar-

Spire Motorsports to Host Fan Day October 6
Spire Motorsports will roll out the welcome mat and host NASCAR fans to a rare, behind-the-scenes look at its Concord, N.C.-based headquarters Friday, October 6 as part of activities surrounding the NASCAR Cup Series (NCS) Bank of America ROVAL™ 400 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
Situated just behind Charlotte’s legendary 1.5-mile oval on Victory Lane, Spire Motorsports is home to the Nos. 7 and 77 Chevrolet Camaros driven by Corey LaJoie and Ty Dillon in NASCAR’s premier division. The team’s historic race shop is the former home of 1992 NCS Champion Alan Kulwicki.
The day’s events will run from 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m., and feature music from DJ James Stanley, a food truck by Sandwich Express, show cars, Spire Motorsports merchandise, RC racing, raffles and access to the race shop floor. The first 50 fans will also receive complimentary gift bags.
All raffle ticket proceeds will be donated directly to the Jessie Rees Foundation.
The Jessie Rees Foundation was inspired by a courageous and compassionate 11-year-old girl named Jessica Joy Rees, who was best known as “Jessie.” Friends and family describe Jessie as a faith-filled, athletic, caring, and loving girl who courageously fought two brain tumors from March 3, 2011, to January 5, 2012.
During Jessie’s courageous fight, she realized thousands of other kids fighting cancer couldn’t leave the hospital. This burden inspired Jessie to create her fun filled JoyJars, 64 oz. plastic jars stuffed to the very top with new, age-appropriate toys, games, and activities for kids fighting cancer. Jessie also visited kids fighting cancer and encouraged them with her message and motto to NEGU (Never Ever Give Up). Before losing her fight to cancer, she filled more than 3,000 JoyJars with family and friends and encouraged thousands more to NEGU.
Fan day activities will be highlighted by driver autograph sessions, followed by the Gainbridge 300 RC car race at NEGU Speedway, where one lucky fan will be chosen, at random, to compete against Spire Motorsports’ drivers. NASCAR Chief Hype Officer Mamba Smith will be on hand for driver introductions prior to the national anthem.
“We’re thrilled to showcase our race team and race shop to fans who are in the area for the NASCAR weekend at Charlotte Motor Speedway,” said Spire Motorsports president Bill Anthony. “We’re always looking for new and creative ways to engage with our fans but this time, we’re excited to do it the old-fashioned way by rolling out the welcome mat and opening our doors. We have a great fan experience planned and are looking forward to seeing old friends and making some new ones along the way. At the same time, we’re proud to help raise money for the Jessie Rees Foundation to support children with pediatric cancer who never, ever give up.”

“I am glad Worldwide Express sees the value in our partnership to return in 2024,” said Chastain who drove the WWEX Racing paint scheme to victory lane at Nashville (Tenn.) Superspeedway on June 25. “They have really been a big part of our success over the last couple of seasons and we have been a big part of their business-to-business initiatives. I think the scheme is one of the best on the track and I’m proud to continue to wear the WWEX colors.”
Suárez said he too welcomes the return of Worldwide Express and its sister brands.
“You know, Worldwide Express does more than help Ross and I and Trackhouse Racing,” said Suárez. “At Los Angeles, Chicago and other races they were responsible for shipping a lot of the walls and materials that went into building the temporary tracks.
“Trackhouse needs Worldwide Express to race and its obvious everyone in the sport of NASCAR does as well.”
WWEX Racing livery – specifically a Worldwide Express scheme – will first appear on Suárez’s car at the Busch Light Clash on Feb. 5, 2024, when the NASCAR season kicks off with the non-points race around the football field at the Los Angeles Coliseum.
It has been a strategic growth pattern for the WWEX Group brands in NASCAR, starting with its involvement in the Truck Series and climbing to the Cup Series in 2022 with Trackhouse Racing. Since its debut, Worldwide Express has used both Chastain and Suárez to meet customers and employees at the track, embarked on an active social media campaign and become a huge supporter of Trackhouse Racing, holding corporate gatherings at the team’s Concord, North Carolina race shop.
The company also began a relationship with NASCAR and Richmond (Va.) Raceway in 2022, serving as the official shipping logistics partner for both and as the entitlement sponsor of the Truck Series race at Richmond.
“We are really looking forward to our third year with Trackhouse Racing as we continue to deepen our commitment to the motorsports community," said Mike Grayson, executive vice president of WWEX Group. "Both Daniel and Ross have been amazing ambassadors of our brands, and we appreciate the energy and focus they and the entire Trackhouse team bring to every challenge. We’re excited about all the opportunities ahead of us next season.”
WWEX Group, the parent brand of Worldwide Express, GlobalTranz and Unishippers, is a top-ranked, full-service logistics provider offering supercharged parcel, less-than-truckload (LTL), truckload and managed transportation shipping services for customers nationwide. The NASCAR Whelen Euro Series returns to Germany for the final round of the regular season, the NASCAR GP Germany at Motorsport Arena Oschersleben. After an exciting parade on the Marktplatz in Oschersleben on Thursday to mark the return of NASCAR to the country, the Club Challenge drivers were the first to take to the track and experience the 3.668 kilometer circuit. At the end of two thrilling sessions, a new winner was crowned in the regularity based division: Florian Richard from Speedhouse Racing, who led teammate Alain Mosqueron in a 1-2 finish for the French team.
Richard made his debut in Valencia and steadily progressed through the season. After a fourth place finish in Spain, a third in Italy and a second in the Czech Republic, a victory was the next logical step and that’s exactly what Richard achieved in Germany. The driver of the # 64 Ford Mustang won the first session and finished runner-up in the second session to earn himself his first overall victory.
“It’s my first victory in the NWES Club Challenge and it was a great team effort,” he said. “Also congratulations to Federico [Monti] and my teammate Alain. I’m now looking forward to the EuroNASCAR Finals at Circuit Zolder in Belgium.”
Mosqueron scored his third podium of the season with a solid performance at Oschersleben. The two-time Club Challenge champion topped the second 30-minute session after finishing fifth in the first one. Academy / Alex Caffi Motorsport’s co-owner Federico Monti completed the podium by finishing in the top-3 and choosing the faster reference time in both sessions. Mosqueron and Monti were tied in points, but Mosqueron won the tiebreaker by virtue of his better finishing position.
Current standings leader Gordon Barnes was only fourth in the wake of a challenging round for the reigning two-time champion. Barnes finished third in the first session, but a tough second session meant that he was unable to climb on the podium at the home circuit of his Marko Stipp Motorsport team. Edouard Fatio completed the top-5 with the aid of the bonus points for choosing the faster reference time. Viktor Schiffer and Arianna Casoli rounded out the remaining two spots in the final results.
The action now turns to the EuroNASCAR PRO and EuroNASCAR 2 drivers as they will soon take part in their first practice sessions at EuroNASCAR’s newest venue. All qualifying sessions and races from the first ever NASCAR GP Germany held at Motorsport Arena Oschersleben will be broadcast live on EuroNASCAR’s YouTube channel, Motorsport.tv, and on many TV services around the world.
