3rd Annual Checkered Flag Run Diversity-Focused Biker Event

3rd Annual Checkered Flag Run (www.CheckeredFlagRun.com) returns to Phoenix March 1-3.

The diversity-focused biker event is a multicultural motorcycle experience and has expanded into a three-day weekend of entertainment and motorcycle ride to NASCAR Subway Fresh Fit 500, Sun., March 3.

The weekend includes a comedy show at Wild Horse Pass Hotel & Casino featuring Bill Bellamy; drag racing, Firebird International Raceway; Coors Light Leather & Lace Ball; and a Bike Show and entertainment at Chester's Harley-Davidson. Checkered Flag Run is hosted by Phoenix International Raceway (PIR); Wild Horse Pass Hotel & Casino; Chester's, Chandler and Arrowhead Harley-Davidson dealers; and The Radisson Hotel.

"This is the perfect event to bring everyone together for a multicultural motorcycle experience," said Checkered Flag Run founder, Alan "AP" Powell. "It's geared to all ethnic groups and Arizona is one of the best places to throw a bike event. We have great weather, hospitality and it is an awesome place to ride. And, we intend to grow this event and make Arizona the new mecca for multicultural bikers."

For motor cycle enthusiasts interested in Drag Racing, entry is $50 to Checkered Flag Run Motorcycle Drag Racing for a chance to win $5,000 in cash prizes, Fri., March 1 (watch for $10), Firebird International Raceway. Sat., March 2, it's $25 to attend Coors Light Leather & Lace Ball, Wild Horse Pass Hotel & Casino. Sun., March 3, a $35 'multicultural ticket' is available for the NASCAR Subway Fresh Fit 500 at PIR. Area Harley-Davidson dealers host weekend gatherings: Chandler Harley-Davidson offers free food/drink Fri., March 1; Chester's Harley-Davidson hosts a bike show, picnic and music Sat., March 2; and a Sunday ride to NASCAR ends at the Checkered Flag Run Arrowhead Harley-Davidson Coral inside the NASCAR midway.
