This weekend in Charlotte, North Carolina, NASCAR fans will flock to the NASCAR Hall of Fame as they officially kick off the 2013 race season during NASCAR Acceleration Weekend. One of the many anticipated events taking place in Uptown Charlotte will be a special appearance by NASCAR’s First Officially Licensed Artist, Sam Bass.
Starting off the morning, Bass will unveil the 2013 NASCAR Day pin with NASCAR Hall of Famer Rusty Wallace. This is the second time that Bass has been asked to design the pin that signifies NASCAR’s day of giving back. Proceeds from the sales of the pins will go towards the NASCAR Unites initiative and the NASCAR Foundation.
In the afternoon Bass will take the stage with Miss Sprint Cup Jaclyn Roney at the Sprint Experience where he will announce the winner of the “Sprint Rock and Racing Sweepstakes.” Jennifer Foy of Burgaw, North Carolina was the lucky fan out of an estimated 90,000 that entered this past 2012 race season at the Sprint Experience at NASCAR Sprint Cup races that will take home a custom painted Gibson Les Paul guitar by Sam Bass.
Sam’s scheduled appearances at NASCAR Acceleration will include:
9:20- 9:30 am NASCAR Pin unveiled with Rusty Wallace
9:30 – 11:00 am Autograph Signing
12:45 – 1:00 pm Sprint’s Sweepstakes Presentation with Sam (Sprint Exhibit)
1:00 – 3:00 pm Autographing signing at Sprint Exhibit
