Yamaha Generators to Supply Power at NASCAR Championship Weekend

Yamaha Motor Corp., U.S.A.‘s outdoor power equipment division announced today a two-year partnership with Homestead-Miami Speedwayto power the final NASCAR race weekend activities of the season. The three-day Ford Championship Weekend begins on Friday and closes out NASCAR’s Camping World Truck Series, the Nationwide Series and the Sprint Cup Series. Yamaha will supply water pumps, phone charging stations and generators to enhance fans’ experiences and keep on-site operations running smoothly.

“NASCAR fans are looking for a high energy, action-packed experience, and this new partnership with Yamaha will help us deliver above and beyond,” said Shawn McGee, Homestead-Miami Speedway vice president of sales and marketing. “The reliability and variety of Yamaha generators will fit the many uses we have over the championship weekend.”

Models on-site during race weekend:

  • EF2000iS: This top-selling inverter is lightweight at 44 pounds and fitted with a technological sophisticated muffler to reduce noise.
  • EF6300iSDE: Yamaha’s most powerful inverter provides 6,300 watts with a smart throttle that automatically adjusts power demand to reduce fuel use, noise and wear down.
  • EF12000DE: Capable of powering most homes in emergency situations, this 12,000 watt unit has auto voltage regulation for correct power delivery and cast iron lining to reduce heat and provide long engine life.
  • YG30G Water Pump:  This unit can pump up to 260 gallon/minute and has cast iron pieces for greater durability.

Mobile phone charging stations for NASCAR fans will be located within the display and fan zone. Providing clean and reliable power, Yamaha generators meet the Environmental Protection Agency’s strictest emissions standards and have received its longest emission engine durability ratings.
