Harrison Rhodes to drive Chick-Fil-A No 49 for MacDonald Motorsports

MacDonald Motorsports is proud to announce that up-and-coming Late Model star Harrison Rhodes will be behind the wheel of their K&N Pro Series East No. 49 car at CNB Bank Raceway Park.  This will be the first time that Rhodes has driven for MacDonald Motorsports despite many talks in the past among the two.   Harrison will make his third career NASCAR K&N Pro Series start Saturday night at 8pm EST in the Samuel 150.

“I am very excited to be driving for the MacDonald Motorsports team this weekend and very thankful for the opportunity,” explained Rhodes.  “I hope we can have a great result this weekend!”

Rhodes started racing Legends cars for Dan Snyder Racing in 2007, recording four wins and finishing seventh in the Summer Shootout points standings.  The following season, Rhodes went on a tear, winning 33 races and the Concord Speedway Track Championship, as well as the North Carolina State Championship.  Over the past few years, Harrison has run in the NASCAR Whelen All American Series, the CARS Pro Cup Series, and select PASS South Series races.  In June of this year, Rhodes made his first start in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East, recording a solid fourth place finish at Bowman Gray Stadium.

The MacDonald Motorsports No. 49 owned by Jeni MacDonald currently sits in a three-way-tie for 12th in the 2012 NASCAR K&N East Series Owner Standings.  Rhodes will be the fourth driver this season to get behind the wheel of the No. 49.

“I actually went to school with Harrison  so this is pretty cool to have him in the car,” stated car owner Jeni MacDonald.  “I’m anxious to see how everything goes this weekend, hopefully we can get a top-ten finish.”

Fans can watch young Harrison Rhodes race the Chick-fil-a No. 49 at CNB Bank Raceway Park in Clearfield, PA this Saturday night.  The Samuel 150 will take the green flag at approximately 8:00PM EST.
