Green Earth Technologies Teams with Sherwin Williams for “NASCAR Home Tracks” Distribution

Green Earth Technologies, Inc., the company with the first Ultimate Biodegradable and BioPreferred® Full Synthetic motor oil to race in NASCAR, announced today it will make G-OIL™ and G-CLEAN™ products more widely available as part of the Sherwin Williams “NASCAR Home Tracks” program to sell quality branded products to competitors at all levels.

To celebrate, G-OIL will make its first step into event title sponsorship at one of NASCAR’s most historic tracks, Bowman Gray Stadium in Winston-Salem, North Carolina on June 1st.

“We are honored to join the ‘NASCAR Home Tracks program’ with Sherwin Williams and to make the G-OIL 100 at Bowman Gray Stadium our first ever NASCAR race title sponsorship,” said Jeffrey Loch, President and Chief Marketing Officer for Green Earth Technologies, Inc. (G.E.T.) (OTC bulletin board: GETG.OB), and the G-OIL® brand.

“We came into NASCAR earlier this year to demonstrate that our American-made, environmentally friendly G-OIL meets the performance demands in NASCAR’s three major series,” said Loch. “We clearly recognize the important role that short tracks play in the sport. The Sherwin Williams Home Tracks program covers over 20,000 competitors across the country and we hope they will try G-OIL and our G-CLEAN products for their teams, shops and families.”

G-OIL will now be available through the Sherwin Williams Automotive Refinishing Stores. In addition, G-CLEAN will be offered through Lancaster Distributing, and made available to all 4,700 Sherwin Williams Stores. “We are deeply grateful to Sherwin Williams for this great opportunity,” added Loch.

“We are excited to have G-OIL and G-CLEAN join us in the NASCAR Home Tracks program,” said Bobby Moody, director of motorsports for Sherwin Williams. “G-OIL and G-CLEAN help Sherwin Williams meet the goals of our green initiatives. By selling high quality branded products to NASCAR Home Tracks, we create a win-win for all of us involved,” said Moody. The NASCAR Home Tracks program, which covers NASCAR’s seven touring series as well as over 50 sanctioned tracks in the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series, serves as a ladder system to NASCAR’s three national series.

NASCAR announced last week that it has entered into a “Memorandum of Understanding” with the Environmental Protection Agency to provide a framework to encourage greater environmental awareness and adoption of green products and solutions with NASCAR fans and the entire industry.

NASCAR will also begin to evaluate the potential for adoption of green products as labeled under the EPA Design for the Environment program as having met rigorous environmental standards. NASCAR Green is also a platform for enhancing awareness among NASCAR fans and business-to-business partners of the benefits of using DfE-labeled products in our homes, communities and at work.

G-CLEAN products are DfE certified and all ingredients are listed on the EPA Cleangredient List and certified for direct water release.

The G-OIL 100 will be a 100-lap feature race for the Bowman Gray Modified Division cars on the .25 mile asphalt oval on Friday, June 1. Green Earth Technologies will be offering FREE OIL and vinyl to all participating entries and will offer a special bonus for the top finishing car using G-OIL.

A G-OIL Driver Autograph session will follow on Saturday evening, June 2, during the NASCAR Hall of Fame 150 event. G-OIL will also sponsor driver Ben Kennedy, a member of the fourth generation of the NASCAR founding France family.

Bowman Gray Stadium is NASCAR’s longest running weekly race track.

Earlier this year, the #19 G-OIL Toyota Camry became the first car to compete in the NASCAR Nationwide Series with a fully synthetic biodegradable engine oil. Driver Tayler Malsam finished sixth in the Daytona NNS event in February.
