Lee Faulk Racing & Development Gearing Up For Heritage Truck Centers 250

Lee Faulk Racing and Development is heading to Virginia’s Motor Mile Speedway this weekend with a trio of young guns in pursuit of victory during the CARS Tour Heritage Truck Centers 250.

Brody Pope and Zack St. Onge will represent Lee Faulk Racing and Development in the late model stock car portion of the Heritage Truck Centers 250 while Nolan Pope will fly the LFR colors during the super late model portion of the event.
 
“We’re heading to Motor Mile Speedway with a lot of momentum on our side,” said Lee Faulk Racing and Development’s Michael Faulk. “Brody, Nolan and Zack have all been very competitive as of late. Brody and Zack have each put together a lot of good runs and Nolan has been fighting some bad luck, but we’re certain all three of these young men will be in contention this weekend at Motor Mile.”
 
Brody Pope heads to Motor Mile Speedway with a truckload of momentum after his most recent CARS Tour event at Hickory (N.C.) Motor Speedway in March. He started 16th, fell to the tail of the field then raced his way all the way to third by the time the checkered flag waved. He’s also stayed active by racing weekly at Hickory, where he sits fifth in the track standings.
 
“The third-place finish at Hickory was a big confidence booster for me,” said Brody Pope ahead of his third CARS Tour event of the year. “We’ve been running well every time we hit the track, so we all expect to be competitive this weekend at Motor Mile. Hopefully we can keep the momentum going this weekend.”
 
St. Onge is also riding a wave of momentum into Motor Mile Speedway. The 17-year-old from Upland, Calif., has competed in every CARS Tour event to date, scoring three top-10 finishes with a pair of sixth-place efforts to his name. This is St. Onge’s first season of late model stock car racing on the East Coast.
 
“Everything is new to me this year, but everyone at Lee Faulk Racing has made me feel at home and is helping me learn as quickly as possible,” said St. Onge, who currently sits second in the CARS Late Model Stock Tour rookie standings. “Motor Mile is going to be another new track for me, but I’m confident Lee and everyone at LFR will have me ready to go this weekend.”
 
Nolan Pope, unlike his brother Brody, enters the Heritage Truck Centers 250 in search of a little bit of luck. After his super late model was destroyed in a crash at Hickory in March, Nolan Pope debuted a new FURY chassis at Tennessee’s Fairgrounds Speedway Nashville during the North-South Super Late Model Challenge 100. He started 24th and raced his way to a 15th-place finish against a stacked field.
 
“The crash at Hickory definitely sucked, but I feel like I now have something to prove,” Nolan Pope said. “We had the chance to shake down the new FURY car at Nashville and while we didn’t get the finish I think we deserved, we still have a lot to learn about the new car. Motor Mile is just another chance for us to learn and improve and I’m excited to do that.”
 
The CARS Tour Heritage Truck Centers 250 will take place Saturday, May 18. Grandstands open at 4 p.m., with qualifying scheduled to begin at 5:15 p.m. A fan fest will take place on the midway from 6:25 to 6:55 p.m., followed by driver introductions at 7 p.m. and pre-race ceremonies at 7:20 p.m.
 
The green flag for the super late model portion of the Heritage Truck Centers 250 will wave at 7:30 p.m., with the late model stock car main event to follow after the completion of the super late model event.
