Sinclair Oil Corporation Teams With Michael Self To Run For ARCA Racing Series Championship

For the third year running, Sinclair Oil Corporation will sponsor ARCA Racing Series driver Michael Self, expanding support in the new year to all 20 races of the 2019 season.

“He’s our home-state guy,” said Jack Barger, vice president of Marketing and Supply for Sinclair Oil, “we’ve all loved seeing success for a fellow Utahan and look forward to lots of wins in 2019.” Fans may follow Self’s race results and Sinclair’s involvement at SinclairOil.com/DINOracing.

Self started the 2018 season with a dramatic win during the ARCA season opener at Daytona International Speedway. During his ARCA career, he’s earned three wins, 11 top-five finishes and a Pole Award in just 19 starts.

Self spent his early days racing go-karts, competing in the world championship at age 16 and ranking as one of America’s top three go-kart drivers under age 18. As Self advanced to full-size stock car racing, it seemed only natural to team with Sinclair Oil and Venturini Motorsports.

Over the last four decades Venturini Motorsports has emerged as one of the leading professional motorsports organizations in the country. Strategically aligned with Toyota Racing Development, Venturini Motorsports is widely known for its success and tenure competing in the ARCA Racing Series. A family-operated organization, patriarch Tony Venturini (posthumous) fueled the group’s passion for speed when he began racing in Chicago during the 1950s while owning and operating a Sinclair Oil service station.

“I’m so excited to have the opportunity to compete for an ARCA championship with Sinclair Oil,” said Michael Self, driver of the No. 25 Sinclair Oil Toyota. “Sinclair has been an incredible partner, and the fans have loved seeing DINO on the track. I can’t wait to see what we accomplish together this season.”
