SCCA announces 2019 U.S. Majors Tour Northern Conference Schedule

The Northern Conference has released its 2019 SCCA® U.S. Majors Tour® competition calendar. A total of six weekends, 12 races in all, make up the schedule that runs from May through August.

Three events in May commence the Northern Conference’s 2019 calendar. First stop is at Blackhawk Farms Raceway in South Beloit, Illinois, followed by a visit to GingerMan Raceway in South Haven, Michigan. Then it’s back-to-back Hoosier Racing Tire SCCA Super Tour dates, the first taking place at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, followed by the annual WeatherTech Chicago Region June Sprints® at Road America — which are both three-day events. The fifth race weekend on the Conference schedule also takes place at Road America, but in July, before the season comes to a close at Grattan Raceway in Belding, Michigan.

As always, the calendar below is subject to change, but the current 2019 U.S. Majors Tour Northern Conference schedule is comprised of the following:

– May 4-5: Blackhawk Farms Raceway; South Beloit, Illinois

– May 18-19: GingerMan Raceway; South Haven, Michigan

– May 31-June 2: Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course; Lexington, Ohio

– June 14-16: Road America; Plymouth, Wisconsin
(WeatherTech Chicago Region June Sprints®)

– July 13-14: Road America; Plymouth, Wisconsin

– August 10-11: Grattan Raceway; Belding, Michigan

Only SCCA Full Competition and SCCA Pro Racing License holders may register for the U.S. Majors Tour or Hoosier Super Tour series. Again this year, both the U.S. Majors Tour and Hoosier Super Tour serve as pathways to the 2019 SCCA National Championship Runoffs® being held at VIRginia International Raceway in Alton, Virginia.
