Toni Breidinger focusing on ‘Development’; looking to keep momentum in ARCA start at Gateway Motorsports Park

Fresh off a successful 10th place finish in her series debut, Toni Breidinger will make her next ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards start with Venturini Motorsports Friday, June 22 in the PapaNicholas Coffee 150 at Gateway Motorsports Park.

Continuing to make the transition from open wheel racing, the 18-year old driver from Hillsborough, California will buckle herself into the seat of the No.20 VMS prepared Toyota Camry. Taking on Gateway’s 1.25-mile egg shaped oval surface, Briedinger looks ahead to the new challenge.

“I’m really happy with the outcome of last week’s performance,” said Breidinger. “I thought we ran a smooth race without too many mistakes – I achieved my personal goal with a top-10. I’ll be extremely satisfied If I can duplicate those efforts at Gateway.”

“Coming into the series and getting familiar with my team and these cars is something new. There’s definitely a little bit of an intimidation factor being the new person in the garage – I just try not to let that bother me – I’m here to focus on myself and not let it get to me if I’m not as fast as everyone else right away. I’m in the ARCA series to continue my development and improve my skills. I’ve got great sponsor and team support. I’d like to reward them with another strong outing.”

Breidinger will compete in the next two series events, including Chicagoland Speedway on Thursday, June 28. At Chicago, Breidinger make history joining teammates Natalie Decker and Leilani Münter, becoming the first trio of female drivers to compete in the same race under one team’s banner.

The ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards will make its return to Gateway Motorsports Park for the first time since 2007 with Friday’s PapaNicholas Coffee 150. The event will mark the halfway point of the series’ 2018 season.

The PapaNicholas Coffee 150 is the tenth race of the 2018 ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards season. The race will be broadcast live on Fox Sports 2 at 9 pm Eastern/8 pm local on Friday, June 22. ARCARacing.com will have live timing and scoring of practice, qualifying and the race for registered members.
