Gearing Up for a Weekend of Learning, Garrett Marchant Ready for RACE 101 Program

This weekend Garrett Marchant will make the four hour trip from his hometown of Roanoke Rapids to Conover, NC to take part in the Inaugural RACE 101 Gala Awards Dinner and Graduation Ceremony.  Marchant will be introduced to the public for the first time as a 2012 RACE 101 Scholarship driver towards the end of the ceremony. The ceremony will take place this Saturday on February 11th starting at 7:30PM.

RACE 101, Presented by Howe Racing, is an educational and consulting program for the auto racing industry. The program offers yearly scholarships for deserving up and coming race car drivers who are looking to learn and improve themselves and their racing programs. Founded by veteran racing crew chief Tony Blanchard, longtime motorsports marketing/PR consultant Annamarie Strawhand and veteran motorsports TV announcer Adam Ross in 2009, RACE 101 is an acronym for Research, Analyze, Consult, and Educate.

Marchant stated earlier on his Facebook that he is “ready for race season and ready to head to Charlotte for RACE 101 this weekend.”  Garrett Marchant is always interacting with his fans whether it be on his Twitter or Facebook page and he will be sharing the RACE 101 experience all weekend long.  Marchant will also be blogging on his website, www.garrettmarchant.com, about the journey throughout the season.

Garrett Marchant hopes that the knowledge he starts learning this weekend will help him be a better driver in the Lone Star Car Transportation 77 Limited Late Model. If you are unable to attend the gala you can watch live on the RACE 101 website by visiting, http://www.race101.net, and the simulcast will begin at 7:30PM  on Saturday February 11th.
