The NASCAR K&N Pro Series East has had a month off and is preparing for the busiest weeks of the season as they will compete in 5 events over the course of 6 weeks. The first race in this series is the Stars and Stripes 150 at Berlin Raceway in Marne, Michigan.
Hunter Baize will pilot the No. 13 Overstock Mercantile entry for Martin-McClure Racing for the upcoming event. Baize, who is currently 3rd in year long point standings, will be under the direction of Crew Chief Matt Webber. Webber joins the Martin-McClure Racing organization and brings with him extensive knowledge in the ARCA Racing Series as well as the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East.
Berlin Raceway boasts a 7/16ths mile asphalt oval racing surface. Drivers in the series will have a day for testing prior to the feature event.

“We’ve used these few weeks off to prepare for the busy month ahead. We’re ready for Berlin and for the excitement that lies ahead. I have complete confidence in our team and am so proud of what we’ve been able to accomplish this season so far. We’ve got a long way to go until our last race in Dover, so we have to stay positive and stay prepared so we can strongly finish the season.

“With half of the race season behind us and being solidly seated 3rd in points, I feel like our season starts now. Hunter has shown incredible consistency throughout this season and our crew has shown incredible effort and dedication to our program.
Hunter has a lot of experience at Berlin. I know he’s going into the weekend feeling confident. I think between Hunter’s experience at Berlin and Matt Webber’s plan we’ll have a fast car and will be ready to defend our solid position in the points standings.”

“It’s always fun to return to a track that you have experience at, especially one filled with achievements and career firsts. Berlin is such a place for me. Berlin is the site of my first career Fast Time Award in a full-bodied stock far, as well as the track where I made my first career start, and top-10 in ARCA. I believe my many laps around the tricky speedway, as well as everyone at MMR’s tireless work ethic will provide for a strong showing this weekend.”
