Natalie Decker Adds “Home State” Road America to ARCA Schedule

On the heels of her successful debut in the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards at Toledo Speedway, nineteen-year old Natalie Decker announced today the addition of Road America to her remaining 2017 ARCA schedule driving for Venturini Motorsports.

Decker, a popular Midwest late model driver hailing from Eagle River, Wisconsin, will make her first professional road course appearance when the ARCA Series returns to Road America located in Elkhart Lake, WI on August 27 for the Road America 100.

The sole road course event on ARCA’s schedule, Road America, features a 4-mile, 14-turn road circuit. Considered one of the country’s premier racing facilities hosting a variety of racing series including the NASCAR XFINITY Series and the Verizon INDY Series.

Already scheduled to compete in upcoming ARCA Series events at Elko Speedway and Pocono Raceway, Decker with sponsorship support from Madison, WI based N29 Capital Partners is excited for the chance to race in her home state.

“This (Wisconsin) is where my racing career started,” says Decker. “I’ve raced hundreds of races in Wisconsin but to get the opportunity to compete at this level in front of my home state fans and sponsor is awesome. I can’t thank N29 Capital Partners, Venturini Motorsports and Toyota enough for giving me this opportunity,” says Decker.

“Road racing is far from my background. Outside some Kart racing I’ve never raced on a road course professionally. We’re looking at our summer schedule now – planning on testing Road America sometime in July before the ARCA race.”

Victories and a strong fan base have been a part of Natalie Decker’s life and career since she first got behind the wheel of a go-kart. In the years since, she has won races and championships, all leading up to this next step in her pursuit of breaking through into the ranks of NASCAR.

A second generation driver and former member of NASCAR’s ‘Drive for Diversity’ program, Decker is more than ready to take the next step in her career development in hopes of adding her name to an impressive list of NASCAR drivers to come out of her home state.

For decades the state of Wisconsin has built a reputation of delivering talent to the highest levels of stock car racing – Alan Kulwicki, Dick Trickle, Matt Kenseth, Travis Kvapil, brothers’ Scott and Chris Wimmer and the Sauter family (Jim, Tim, Jay, Johnny and Travis) top the list of notable NASCAR drivers produced by the dairy state.

In addition to piloting VMS’ prepared Toyota part-time in ARCA’s top touring series, Decker will also compete in her Toyota Super Late Model as a ‘Touring Star” in the ARCA Midwest Tour as well as selected high-profile national events.

The Road America 100 will be on Sunday, August 27 at 12:15pm local time. The race will air on MAVTV.
