Mason Mitchell Motorsports Earns Top-10 Finish with Tyler Roahrig at the Toledo Speedway

After a soggy weekend at the Toledo Speedway, Mason Mitchell Motorsports earned their fifth top-ten finish of the 2017 ARCA season with Tyler Roahrig behind the wheel of the No. 78 machine.

Roahrig, who was making his ARCA debut turned heads all weekend long and turned the third fastest time during ARCA practice on Saturday. With qualifying rained out the field would lineup based on practice speeds lining the No. 78 third on the gird.

After an hour delay due to rain, the Menards 200 got underway. Roahrig and the No. 78 would race inside the top-five until the second caution of the afternoon at lap 45. Roahrig would steer the 78-down pit-road. The team opted for two General Tires and a trackbar adjustment to fix his loose condition. Roahrig would return to the track in the 7th position.

Roahrig fell back to 14th after making another pit-stop under yellow at lap 82. He wasted no time working his way back inside the top-ten at lap 109 passing Shane Lee on the high side.

Roahrig would crack the top-five on lap 131 after a daring three-wide pass on a restart coming off of turn two. The yellow would follow for a multi-car incident in turn three.

Over the final 20 laps Roahrig would work his way back inside the top-ten to secure a tenth-place finish in his ARCA debut at the Toledo Speedway.

“I’m really thankful for the opportunity this weekend,” Roahrig stated. “We had a great car all weekend and the MMM guys didn’t give up until the checkered flag waved. Every driver wants to win but to come away with a solid top-ten and the car in one piece in my debut is pretty satisfying. It was great to work with Kevin, Mason and the entire MMM crew. They’re a great group of guys who work very well together.”

The finish marked MMM’s fourth top-ten finish at ARCA’s home track. Roahrig marked the sixth different driver that’s raced for MMM so far in the 2017 season.

The ARCA Racing Series will be back in action Saturday, June 3rd with a return visit to the 3/8 Elko Speedway located in Elko, Minnesota.
