Volkswagen Andretti Rallycross prepares for a new season, new tracks, and new cars of Red Bull GRC

Entering 2017 defending back-to-back championships with a target on their backs, Volkswagen Andretti Rallycross (VARX) hasn’t sat idle during the offseason. Ramping up efforts to attain a third title, VARX welcomes the new season retaining its top talent while introducing two new Volkswagen Beetle GRC cars and partners into the mix.

Shuffling the event schedule in the offseason, Red Bull Global Rallycross teams see only three venues returning from 2016, with new challenges, new tracks and new cities to tackle by the VARX pair of Tanner Foust and Scott Speed. Opening the season next week in Memphis, the pair hopes to leave the city not singing the blues, but rather hoisting trophies atop the podium once again like last year’s season-opening Round 1 in Phoenix.

With competitors stepping up their programs while eyeing the VARX team, Volkswagen Motorsport produced two new Beetle GRC machines to competition, with drivers Foust and Speed getting seat time in the offseason honing and sharpening their skills to further defend their stellar success in the new year.

Joining in the GRC fun this season, VARX welcomes new partners Oberto and Circle K to Scott Speed’s No. 41 Beetle GRC, while welcoming back Rockstar Energy Drink to the No. 34 Beetle GRC of Tanner Foust. With new liveries to match new cars, the team looks to the upcoming season with enthusiasm and anticipation.
