Brady Boswell Ready to Turn Rookie Season Around at Lucas Oil Raceway

One thing has been consistent with Brady Boswell’s rookie season in the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards in 2016, he’s been fast, very fast. Unfortunately, lady luck hasn’t been on the 19-year-old’s side in 2016. Two weeks ago at the Iowa Speedway he qualified a career best fourth and appeared to have a top-five car. Bad luck struck on lap two as Boswell encountered a flat left front tire. Boswell lost four laps and finished 13th.

“We’ve had fast cars all season long but we haven’t had a lot of luck,” Boswell explained. “I thought at Iowa we were going to have a great day but the flat tire made for a long night.”

“LOR is my final short track start for the 2016 ARCA season. I would love nothing more than to have a great night with no bad luck. If we can do that, I believe we can win.”

Before racing in the Sioux Chief PowerPEX 200 Friday night, Boswell will make his NASCAR Camping World Truck Series debut Wednesday evening at the Eldora Speedway driving the No. 05 Athenian Motorsports entry.

2016 has been a season of firsts for the Watkinsville, Georgia native and Wednesday will mark his first time racing on dirt.

“This is one of the biggest truck races of the year and while I know I will be learning a lot all night long, I believe we can earn a top-10 if we keep our nose clean.”

In six starts Boswell’s earned one top-five and two top-ten finishes.

Chassis Information: Boswell will be behind the wheel of chassis No. 588. Boswell wheeled the car to a fifth place finish last month at the Pocono Raceway. This weekend marks the 19th start for the chassis since 2014.  The car has one win (Winchester 2015), seven top-five finishes and 12 top-ten’s.

There are two practice sessions for the Sioux Chief PowerPEX® 200 from 1:35 – 2:20, followed by final practice from 3:00 – 3:45. Menards Pole Qualifying presented by Ansell is at 5:30. Pre-race ceremonies and driver introductions begin at 8:30 with the green flag waving just after 9:00. Fans can catch the race live on Fox Sports 1. Arcaracing.com will feature live timing and scoring for all on-track activity Friday.
