In recognition of exemplary performance and dedication to company goals, Speedway Motorsports officials recognized its top sales leaders across the country in 2024 during its annual awards presentation, hosted recently in Charlotte. Sonoma Raceway earned Sales Team of the Year honors, while Atlanta Motor Speedway’s Director of Corporate Events and Business Development Ted Austad was honored with the company’s Corporate Events Award. Additionally, Charlotte Motor Speedway Senior Business Development Executive Tracy Rich was presented with the On-Track Award and Texas Motor Speedway’s Client Services Coordinator Riley Leonard received the Client Service Award.
“Through their dedication, passion and creativity, the Speedway Motorsports sales team is constantly raising the bar for our company and helping clients meet their own brand goals and objectives,” said Speedway Motorsports Chief Commercial Officer Kevin Camper. “Their efforts, both individually and collectively, once again driven year-over-year revenue growth in 2024. It is an honor to recognize the outstanding accomplishments of our company’s top sales leaders and client services staff.”
Corporate Events Award
Atlanta Motor Speedway’s Ted Austad, who started at Atlanta Motor Speedway in 2006, was named the Speedway Motorsports Corporate Events Award winner for 2024. Selected from a company-wide pool of corporate event and business development professionals, the Corporate Events Award is given in recognition of a leader who makes a significant impact on the corporate events business, including new business development, client service, retention and overall revenue.
On-Track Award
Charlotte Motor Speedway’s Tracy Rich, an 22-year veteran with Speedway Motorsports, was named this year’s On-Track Award recipient. Rich was recognized for outstanding revenue growth year-over-year from new and exisiting partners, including establishing BetMGM as an Xfinity Series entitlement sponsor and expanding Atrium Health’s partnership to include naming rights for Charlotte Motor Speedway’s drive-thru Christmas light show.
Client Service Award
Riley Leonard, a client services coordinator at Texas Motor Speedway, was honored with the 2024 Client Service Award. Open to Speedway Motorsports sales team members who are primarily involved with client service and other support roles, the Client Service Award recognizes someone who has shown outstanding support for his or her sales team, clients and processes. Consideration for this award includes partner feedback, contributions to the efficiency or operations of sales efforts, support of other Speedway Motorsports sales teams or events and overall performance.
Sales Team of the Year Award
Looking at the overall year-over-year financial performance of each of Speedway Motorsports’ 11 premier facilities and its Performance Racing Network affiliate, Sonoma Raceway’s Corporate Sales Department was awarded the Sales Team of the Year honor. Sonoma’s team stood out for a continued effort to leverage its best-in-class hospitality facility in Turn 11 to drive incremental corporate event revenue. Additionally, the team created a demand on corporate event business by focusing on high-yielding activities and working from a limited supply of track days based on robust annual activity.

In addition, Speedway Motorsports announced this year’s Winners’ Circle members, individuals recognized for meeting or exceeding year-over-year growth targets. This year, the following individuals were recognized:
