Nearly nine months after opening up the 2024 Avanti Windows and Doors USAC/CRA Sprint Car Series season at Perris Auto Speedway, rising star Logan Williams will close the campaign on the same track this Saturday night, November 9th. The Flowdynamics driver enters Saturday’s event seventh in series points.

Last weekend, Williams, 28, contested his final out-of-town race of the year in the 57th Annual Avanti Windows and Doors Western World Championships at Arizona’s Mohave Valley Raceway. The Yorba Linda, California resident began the opening night of the two-day program by setting the 31st fastest qualifying time in the 45 car field. Placed into a stacked 10-lap heat race that only advanced five directly into the A main, Williams started eighth and missed the transfer by one spot when he rolled past the checkers in sixth.
For the B main, which started a whopping 24 cars, Williams, wheeling the handsome Flowdynamics #5W, started 11th. To get one of the transfers into the A main, he had to get to fourth. The 2014 USAC/CRA Rookie of the Year moved forward in the race but could only get as far as eighth before he ran out of laps. It was the only time in 2024 that he did not start a USAC/CRA main event.
Night number two of the Western World Championships started off better for the likable Williams. However, he once again finished sixth and was forced to run in the B main for the second night in a row. In that B, he had a much better result when he placed second in the 12-lapper to punch his ticket into the A main event.
Things looked bright enough for Williams, who started 15th in the 26-car field. Unfortunately, matters unraveled fast, and his time in the A was limited. To be exact, four laps! A steering problem knocked the car and driver out of the race with a disappointing 26th-place finish.
Williams and his team are ready to rumble one more time on Saturday. He enters the fray seventh in points but has a good chance of finishing sixth. The driver currently in sixth, Williams’ brother, Cody, is only 10 points ahead of him.
Spectator gates at Saturday’s season finale will open at 5:00 PM, and racing will begin 30 minutes earlier than normal at 6:30. Adult tickets are $30.00. For Seniors 65 and over, it is $25.00. Kids six to 12 get in for only $5.00, and children five and under are free. The fairgrounds charge $10.00 for parking. Advance tickets for all Perris Auto Speedway shows are available 24 hours a day online at https://www.tix.com/ticket-sales/pas/7 or by calling 1-800-595-4849. Plenty of tickets will be available at the ticket window every race night for fans who do not wish to purchase in advance.
Whenever you get the chance to meet Williams in person, be sure to see him in the pits. He will gladly sign autographs and have his fine-looking team shirts available.
