Tim Estenson is preparing to make his ASCS National Tour and USCS Series season debut this weekend during the World Short Track Challenge.
The $10,000-to-win event will also mark Estenson’s debut at Riverside International Speedway in West Memphis, Ark.
“We’ll be open minded since I know how tough the racing is,” he said. “Coming off a confidence booster and a big win helps. If we can start how we finished at our last race I think we’ll be really good.”
Estenson was victorious during his most recent race, but a new track and competing in a 360ci winged sprint car for the first time this year will force him to adapt quickly.
“I don’t know much about the track,” he said. “I watched the High Limit race they had earlier in the year and I’ll watch some videos on it this week to see kind of what it does. It looks like an elbows-up type of track.
“Hopefully we will unload fast and can be competitive from the first time we hit the track. It sounds like a lot of drivers will be there so it will take a great performance to be a contender.”
