High Desert Hustle Returns to Reno Livestock Events Center December 30-January 2

The richest Outlaw Kart event in the world returns to the Biggest Little City, as the second annual High Desert Hustle races into the Reno-Sparks Livestock Events Center on December 30, 2024 through January 2, 2025. The inaugural edition saw Jacksonville, Oregon’s Tanner Holmes win a thrilling Open 500 feature worth $10,000 to win on the temporary indoor dirt track.

Open 500s return and will be joined by Beginner Box Stock, Box Stock, 250s, Non-Wing, and caged Clone. Fast Four Media will once again present live coverage of the spectacular event at www.FastFour.TV

Nearly 300 entries from across the country participated in the debut race in February 2024 with six divisions of racing. One of the largest indoor races in the nation featured three nights of competition with complete shows on each preliminary night for all cars entered. The weekday lineup avoids conflicts with other events in the region while also working well for winter break for the sport’s younger competitors.

In victory lane earlier this year, Holmes reflected on the significance of winning such a prestigious event for Outlaw Kart racing. “It means a lot. We put so much into this. You’re racing against a lot of the same guys that we race with for a $1000 to win or $500 or even nothing. Those races mean a lot to me because when it comes to the kart racing stuff, I’ve been doing it so long I want to be the best,” Holmes said. “Tonight we had a great start, never got too aggressive or too patient. We did just enough to be first car to cross the line.”

“New building, new facility. I think it was a big success. Everyone is stoked. You could see the emotion. You don’t get to race for $10,000 too often in an Outlaw Kart. This is definitely the biggest pay day of my life.”
