Mallett Returning to ASCS National Tour Competition This Weekend at Arrowhead Speedway

Jordon Mallett is bound for Arrowhead Speedway this weekend for an ASCS National Tour doubleheader.

The dirt oval in Colcord, Okla., hosts the Green Country 50 on Friday and Saturday. It will mark Mallett’s first ASCS National Tour races since he drove for Brandon Anderson Motorsports in June.

“I feel like we’re in a good place,” he said. “I enjoy running with those guys and we’re eager to be back with them. I’m looking forward to the weekend and to try to build on what we’ve been working toward.”

Mallett captured a ninth-place result at Arrowhead Speedway earlier this season and he finished eighth there during his debut last year.

“I still feel like the cards have to fall in your favor, but we’re a top-five car,” he said. “Things have to go your way, too. A good pill draw is important and we need to time in good and come out of the gate strong. Arrowhead isn’t my strongest track, but it’s also not a weak track or one we don’t want to race at. We’ll see if we can make ourselves a little better and if we can do that the rest will take care of itself.”

Despite not competing in more than half of the ASCS National Tour races this season, Mallett has the most top fives and top 10s of any driver who isn’t full time with the series. Additionally, his three top fives is tied for the seventh most and his seven top 10s is tied for the eighth most of all drivers.

“That does give us some confidence knowing we typically run well with them,” he said. “It’s comfortable racing with them because everybody is up to speed. We’ll try to bring our ‘A’ game and be a contender.”
