The Big Machine Music City Grand Prix Presented by Gainbridge is proud to announce a special collaboration with SiriusXM’s The Highway. On Friday, September 13th, NTT INDYCAR Series Championship programming will take over the channel’s “Music Row Happy Hour with Buzz Brainard,” which will broadcast an extended show from 2pm-7pm CT. Coverage will continue with a special edition of “The Highway with Ania Hammar” from 7pm-2am CT.
In addition, SiriusXM’s INDYCAR Nation channel (channel 218) will provide live coverage of the racing events throughout the weekend. The channel will air the Hy-Vee Battle On Broadway (Friday, 4-6 pm CT), NTT INDYCAR Series Qualifying (Saturday, 12:45 pm CT) and the green flag-to-checkered flag broadcast of the Big Machine Music City Grand Prix Presented by Gainbridge on Sunday (1-4 pm CT).
“We are kicking off the weekend in a big way with our annual Freedom Friday events in downtown, anchored by Big Machine Label Group superstar Brantley Gilbert, who is throwing ‘The World’s Largest Album Release Party!’” says Scott Borchetta, leader of the Big Machine Music City Grand Prix Presented by Gainbridge and Big Machine Label Group chair and founder. “The energy throughout the weekend will be off the charts, and we are thrilled to have our friends from SiriusXM bringing the action to listeners across North America.”
Meyer Shank Racing and SiriusXM are collaborating on a special livery for Sunday’s race which will feature Diplo’s Revolution (SiriusXM Channel 53) – the exclusive channel curated by the GRAMMY-winning DJ, songwriter and producer – on the No. 60 AutoNation / SiriusXM Honda driven by Felix Rosenqvist. Diplo, previously announced as the Grand Marshal for Sunday’s race, will be in attendance and will perform a special set for the pre-race driver introductions.
The 2024 INDYCAR Series has just one race remaining, and three of the world’s fastest drivers are still mathematically eligible to become the 2024 Champion. The title will come down to the wire, and for the first time, the Astor Cup will be awarded at the Big Machine Music City Grand Prix Presented by Gainbridge.
The three-day festival of speed kicks off with Freedom Friday, featuring INDYCAR’s fastest pit crews as they compete for a $50,000 purse at the Hy-Vee Battle On Broadway, followed by Brantley Gilbert’s “World’s Largest Album Release Party.” Fans can expect high-intensity, wheel to wheel INDYCAR action Saturday and Sunday on Nashville Superspeedway’s 1.33-mile D-shaped oval. The music continues at the Speedway, after the on-track action, with an exciting music line-up including Riley Green, Daughtry, Gary LeVox, Brian Kelley, and more.
