Kevin Lacroix Seals the Deal at Delaware Speedway with a Dominant Victory

Kevin Lacroix delivered a commanding performance at Delaware Speedway this Sunday, claiming victory in the 200-lap race while never dropping below second place. Driving the #74 Quick Strut / NAPA Racing Dodge, Lacroix shone in the penultimate event of the NASCAR Canada season.

Delaware Speedway has always been a favourite for Lacroix, as it is known for its fast-paced racing. Over the years, he’s consistently found success on this track, and this weekend was no exception.

The day kicked off on a high note, with Lacroix posting the third-fastest time during practice. He then dominated the qualifying session, securing the E3 Spark Plug Pole Award with the fastest lap.

From the drop of the green flag, Lacroix held the lead but faced intense pressure from Cayden Lapcevich and Andrew Ranger. The two Innovation Auto Sport teammates swapped the lead several times, adding intensity to the race.

However, Lacroix reclaimed the lead on lap 33 and never looked back, holding it for an impressive 191 of the 200 laps. He also clocked the fastest lap of the race, further cementing his dominance.

“I’m thrilled with this result,” said Kevin Lacroix. “We worked incredibly hard, and this was a fantastic victory. Andrew (Ranger) put a lot of pressure on me early on, but I stayed focused and got the job done.”

He added, “The car was excellent today, and the team did an outstanding job. We had great speed, and everything came together perfectly for us.”

The final event of the NASCAR Canada season will take place in Quebec at Autodrome Montmagny on September 22.
