Big Game Motorsports and Gravel Record Three Top 10s During Huset’s Speedway Tripleheader - Speedway Digest

David Gravel produced a trio of top-10 finishes for Big Game Motorsports last weekend at Huset’s Speedway.

The team kicked off the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series tripleheader at the high-banked oval on Friday during the Huset’s Hustle presented by Folkens Brothers Trucking. Gravel qualified 11 th quickest in his group and advanced from sixth to fifth place in a heat race. He then charged from 20 th to 10 th in the A Main.

Saturday featured the preliminary night of the BillionAuto.com Huset’s High Bank Nationals presented by MENARDS. Gravel was ninth quickest in his qualifying group and he placed fifth in a heat race. He again gained 10 positions in the feature, driving from 18 th to eighth.

The $100,000-to-win event concluded on Sunday with Gravel moving up one spot in a heat race to advance into the King of the Hill. A seventh-place finish lined him up on the inside of the fourth row in the 40-lap main event. Gravel battled just outside the top five throughout the race before ending eighth. It was his 49 th top 10 of the season.

Big Game Motorsports is heading west for three weekends in California beginning this Friday at the Stockton Dirt Track in Stockton during the Stockton Showdown and Saturday at Kings Speedway in Hanford during the Tom Tarlton Classic.

Gravel is the track record holder at the Stockton Dirt Track, where he last competed in Sept. 2019 when he finished third.

Gravel’s lone World of Outlaws win at Kings Speedway came in March 2019.
