Dover Tackling Nebraska Tripleheader This Weekend

Jack Dover has a three-race weekend in his home state of Nebraska on deck.

Dover will compete in his No. 53 winged sprint car this Friday at Beatrice Speedway in Beatrice during the 2 nd annual Sprint Car Challenge. He will then head to Thayer County Speedway in Deshler on Saturday before racing on Sunday at Eagle Raceway in Eagle during the Stewart Alley Memorial.

“I’m really excited,” he said. “It’s local and a lot of our close fans get to see us race. Also, we’ve had this car out nine times and it’s been in the top three eight times so I’m excited to get it out for three races close to home this weekend.”

Dover is a perfect 2-for-2 in starts at Beatrice Speedway, where he won a 305ci winged sprint car race in 2016 and he captured a 360ci winged sprint car victory last year.

“We’re perfect so we just have to keep that streak alive,” he said.

Saturday will mark his driving debut at Thayer County Speedway.

“I’ve only been there once with Tim (Estenson) and we ran third,” he said. “It’s like a 3/8 mile and you have to get up right against the wall. It looked like fun to race.”

Eagle Raceway is a high-banked track where Dover cut his teeth racing.

“I’ve won the Eagle Nationals and the 305 Nationals twice,” he said. “We’ve won a lot of races there and a lot of big races. It suits me good and I’m very comfortable there. This weekend should be a lot of fun.”
