ARCA: Daniel Suarez Captures Kansas Speedway Pole

Daniel Suarez will start on the pole for the Full Throttle S’loonshine 98.9 The Rock at the Kansas Speedway on Friday. Suarez posted a time and speed of 29.918 seconds, 180.493 mph. in single car qualifying. The pole will mark his first career pole in the ARCA Racing Series in four starts. The native from Mexico has one top five and three top 10 finishes in 2015.

Starting right beside Suarez will be Kyle Weatherman in the No. 22 Crosley Brands Dodge for Cunningham Motorsports. Weatherman was 0.180 seconds slower than the pole sitter when qualifying completed on Friday. The SCOTT Rookie of the Year contender comes into the weekend with one victory, nine top five and 12 top 10 finishes.

Starting in third will be Will Kimmel in the No. 69 SO Contacting-Circle Track Magazine Ford. Kimmel posted a fast time of 30.100 seconds in his two laps of qualifying around the 1.5-mile oval. The 27-year old comes into the track still looking to capture his first ARCA Racing Series victory.

Grant Enfinger will start the race in fifth after posting a time and speed of 30.312 seconds, 178.147 mph. Enfinger, from Alabama, will need to start the race in order to claim the 2015 ARCA Racing Series driver championship. The 30-year old has six victories throughout the 2015 season.
