Dominic Scelzi is heading to Placerville Speedway this weekend for a pair of races during the 33 rd annual Dave Bradway Jr. Memorial.
The high-banked bullring in Placerville, Calif., hosts the Sprint Car Challenge Tour on Friday and the NARC 410 Sprint Car Series on Saturday.
“I’m looking forward to two nights at Placerville,” Scelzi said. “It’s been a track that I’ve had more success at the last few years so we head in there with confidence.”
Scelzi won the Sprint Car Challenge Tour race and he placed 11 th in the NARC 410 Sprint Car Series main event during this weekend last year.
He was also victorious at the Dave Bradway Jr. Memorial in June 2021. Overall, Scelzi has finished inside the top six in six of his eight races at Placerville Speedway during the last three years.
“We’ve gotten better at Placerville in recent years and right now we’ve finished in the top two in four of our five races the last month so we’re focused on keeping the momentum going,” he said. “I want to put ourselves in position to contend for the win each night. I feel good about our team’s chances when we’re able to qualify well and start near the front.”
