Dave Moody is reporting that either Bayne or possibly Stenhouse will be in the No. 21 for the Wood Brothers Racing next year. Eddie Wood has been quoted as saying that he would like Bayne to come back but it’s up to Ford and the Sponsors who fund the operation for the Wood’s.

As of now the 2012 Sprint Cup Series schedule has been completed, NASCAR is holding up on the Nationwide and Camping World Series as they still have some up in the air races like Montreal in which was said to be closing but negotiations are underway to keep the race there. One possibly would be to move the race to The Rock in which was added back to the NASCAR circuit for the first time since 2004. While there are still several unfilled spots in the Camping World Series, Iowa Speedway added a second truck event and word is that Gresham Motorsports Park in Georgia has held discussions with NASCAR on holding an event there.

Speaking of Iowa Speedway president Jerry Jauron is resigning after 3 1/2 years on the job to move on to C & L Companies who is a motorsports manufacturing company.

Richard Childress is still working on sponsorship for Bowyer who has held talks with other race team including Petty, MWR and more. Childress said at Chicago that he will continue to work on sponsorship for Bowyer until he gets word that a deal with another team is signed and sealed. Childress also this week has been elected to be inducted into the International Motorsports Hall of Fame in Talladega and will be inducted with 2 other members, to be announced later, on May 2.
