Richard Childress Racing and The Professional Bull Riders, Inc., are teaming up September 28 for a one-of-a-kind experience at BB&T Ballpark in Winston-Salem.
The "Race or Ride" fan event is open to the public from 3-6 p.m. General admission for adults is only $5, children 11-17 is $3 and children 10 and under receive free entry. Admission includes rides in the Kids Zone, games, and on-field activities with RCR race crew members. Food and beverages will be available for purchase, including access to the hospitality tent for $15. Proceeds from "Race or Ride" will benefit the Childress Institute for Pediatric Trauma and the Rider Relief Fund.
"Teaming up with the PBR made perfect sense for us," said Richard Childress, president and CEO of Richard Childress Racing. "We share the same audience and fan base and both have great charities to support. Serious injury is the number one killer of kids in America, more than all other causes combined. We hope to raise funds and awareness about the need for prevention, education and research to help save children's lives."
Fans will also be able to purchase tickets at www.RCRstore.com for group autograph signings, but tickets are limited to 100 per session:
3-4 p.m. - RCR pit crew members and crew chiefs - FREE
4-5 p.m. - RCR drivers Austin and Ty Dillon, Joey Coulter and Tim George, Jr. and PBR bull riders Luke Snyder, Colby Yates and Sean Willingham - $5 per ticket
5-6 p.m. - Richard Childress; RCR drivers Paul Menard, Kevin Harvick, Jeff Burton, and Clint Bowyer; and PBR bull riders J.B. Mauney and Shane Proctor - $10 per ticket
"The Race or Ride fan event will truly bring the 'toughest and fastest' sports together," said Jim Haworth, CEO of the PBR. "This event is really all about our fans - we wanted to give them the opportunity to experience something very unique and special all in support of charity."
The PBR will be in town for the Troy-Bilt Invitational Presented by Lowe's Home Improvement Warehouse in Charlotte, N.C., on September 30-October 1, 2011. Tickets are available at Ticketmaster.com or at the arena box office. While supplies last, discounted, cash only tickets will be available to fans at the Race or Ride Fan Day.
