Thomas Nepveu Confident for this Weekend’s Event at CTMP

After a long winter, Thomas Nepveu is ready to kick off the 2024 NASCAR Canada season. The young Oka native will be back on track at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park (CTMP) for the 51-lap ASSA ABLOY Accentra 200.

Nepveu will be back at CTMP, a track he knows very well, having competed in two events there last year. He also took part in pre-season testing on May 2. He wore new colours, with his #24 Richelieu | Home Hardware | Cromwell yellow car, which will be entered on the road tracks. He set the 9th fastest time during the test session, a good indicator for the race ahead.

“I’m happy to finally be starting the racing season,” says Thomas Nepveu. “We feel ready and we’re thirsty for good results, I think we’re going to deliver some good results and make the #24 Richelieu | Home Hardware | Cromwell car shine.”

He goes on to say, “Canadian Tire Motorsport Park is a very nice track on which I’m comfortable, so I want to perform well. It’ll give me a great start to the season!

It will be a historic start as 31 cars take to the track for the ASSA ABLOY Accentra 200, a first for NASCAR Canada, “a season opener has never attracted so many cars, which is a sign that the series is healthy. I can’t wait to race with the drivers that are entered this season.”

Practice will start at 12:25 pm, followed by qualifying at 5 pm. The race kicks off at 2:05 pm on Sunday. The event will be broadcast live on the TSN+ app as well as on FloRacing.com.
