The National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) today announced a change to the qualifying schedule for next week’s NHRA Carolina Nationals at zMAX Dragway in Concord, N.C.
On Friday, Sept. 12, the first round of qualifying in the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series will begin at 12:45 p.m. with Pro Stock Motorcycle and Pro Stock, followed by Funny Car and Top Fuel qualifying at 1:30 p.m. The second qualifying session will begin at 3 p.m. for Pro Stock Motorcycle and Pro Stock, followed by Funny Car and Top Fuel at 3:30 p.m.
On Saturday, Sept. 13, the third and fourth rounds of qualifying will be held at similar times as Friday.
“We regret any inconvenience this may present for our fans, but the changes are being made for competition considerations,” said Graham Light, NHRA’s senior vice president of racing operations.
