Brandon Jones had a great evening at the Iowa Speedway on Friday after capturing his first career NASCAR K&N Pro Series victory. Jones made his 20th career start this evening after qualifying in the eighth position. With twelve races this season already gone by, Jones has earned five top-five and eight top-10 finishes in the series.
Finishing in second was Kenzie Ruston after coming up just shy of the victory this evening. Ruston started the night off from the 16th position and had to make adjustments through the entire event. Finishing in third was Cole Custer after leading towards the end but couldn’t hold off Jones. Custer started the night from the sixth-place position. Tonight’s finish gives him his seventh top-five of his NASCAR K&N Pro Series career combined. Custer was 1.926 seconds behind the race winner when the checkered flag flown.
The next race for the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East will be at Watkins Glen International on August 8th. The next stop for the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West will be at Evergreen for the NAPA Auto Parts / Toyota 150 on August 16th. Both races will be on a taped-delay.
