Bryan Ortiz Prepared for K&N East Race at @LangleySpeedway

Bayamon, Puerto Rico’s Bryan Ortiz, with this Saturday night’s race (June 22) at Langley Speedway, begins a second-half stretch of races on tracks that provided him with five finishes of sixth-place or better in 2012. The Hampton, Va. track was the scene of a sixth-place result by Ortiz last year, after he qualified 10th in his first career start on the 0.396-mile oval.

Ortiz, driving the No. 4 Toyota for Rev Racing, currently sits 10th in the K&N East point standings, three points out of ninth.

Bryan Ortiz, on racing at Langley… “Langley is a tough place. It’s a flat, one-groove track that really makes you think. We need to learn all we can in practice, get a good lap off in qualifying and that should set us up for a great race, which we need. Last year, we qualified 10th and were able to work our way up through the field a little bit, but passing is hard to come by. If we can improve our qualifying, it should get us a better finish.”

Last outing… Ortiz finished 10th among K&N East drivers in the East/West combination race two weeks ago at Iowa Speedway, a result that gained him a spot in the season-long point standings.
