NASCAR teams in all three national series unite to support Autism Speaks

For the fifth consecutive year, Dover International Speedway has joined forces with Autism Speaks to create awareness for the special cause through the entitlement of the Monster Mile’s spring NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race, titled the “FedEx 400 benefiting Autism Speaks.”

The NASCAR community has embraced the messaging of Autism Speaks, and throughout the May 13-15, 2011 race weekend in Dover, 29 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series cares, 15 NASCAR Nationwide Series cars and 20 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series trucks will sport the Autism Speaks blue puzzle piece logo as a sign of support for the nation’s leading autism science and advocacy organization.

“We are thrilled to continue our partnership with Dover International Speedway, and appreciate NASCAR and FedEx’s efforts to help raise awareness and funds for our cause,” said Mark Roithmayr, president of Autism Speaks. “Thanks to everyone’s support race weekend at Dover will take on special meaning for NASCAR fans and the autism community alike.
