Whisky River Will Host Late Night Show During Charlotte Speedweek

Lafferty Motorsports announced earlier this year on Fox Charlotte Got Game that it would be starting an all new, late-night TV show with a racing theme. For something that has never been done before in racing, host Chris Lafferty, driver in the Camping Word Truck Series, feels he has the on-camera personality to pull it off.

Lafferty will film in front of a live audience at Whisky River, a Charlotte late-night hot spot owned by NASCAR superstar Dale Earnhardt Jr. On Wednesday, May 18th filming of the show will begin at 6pm and last about two hours. Fans will be able to meet the driver and celebrity guests and enjoy one of the most hilarious events during Charlotte Speedweek. “The Last Lap with Chris Lafferty” will also film at Whisky River on Wednesday, May 25th at 6pm.

“These shows are going to awesome,” says Lafferty. “We are excited that Whisky River has agreed to host the venue during NASCAR’s biggest week in Charlotte.”

“The Last Lap with Chris Lafferty” will follow the traditional late-night show format, but Lafferty assures his show will keep you laughing until the cameras quit rolling. In addition to driver and celebrity guests, Lafferty will have a special musical guest that will guaranteed to leave you pumped up and ready for more.

Lafferty’s last episode, filmed at Iron Thunder, had NASCAR drivers Rick Crawford and Carl Long. Lafferty poked fun at Long’s $200,000 fine by NASCAR in 2009 and eventually Lafferty had everyone laughing, even Long. Lafferty will be back at Iron Thunder filming on Monday, May 23rd with a big celebrity guest.
