Tire issues struck several drivers all day long as three of those were Chase for the Sprint Cup drivers. Goodyear said later in the afternoon that both were due to car set-ups and that it wasn't a manufacture issue. This isn't the last time we have saw this.

Mason Mitchell became the first ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards driver to capture the ARCA championship. Mitchell finished the 98.9 The Rock in fifth after starting from the pole. He also became the first driver and owner to accomplish the feat since Tim Steele in 1993.
"We set our goal at the beginning of the year to win a championship. Mitchell said after becoming the 32nd ARCA champion in the series 62 year history. "I thought that we would have some bumps along the way but we honestly didn’t. Winning the championship hasn’t set in just yet, but it will when we head back to Iowa tomorrow. The guys on this MMM team were completely dedicated 100% and they made a lot of sacrifices for this team, I can’t thank them enough for that. Ford racing made sure we had everything we needed this year to win a championship and they provided us with great horsepower all season long. Without the support of my family and friends none of this would be possible, they have supported me since the beginning of my racing career."
Mitchell has only one victory throughout the season while the runner-up Grant Enfinger captured six wins. He went on to score 12 top-five and 19 top-10 finishes in 20 races. Mitchell also earned five pole awards and led over 550 laps. The pole awards gave Mitchell an extra 125 bonus points to help score the championship.
Mitchell is still deciding on how to celebrate the acomplishment. He will head home to West Des Moines, Iowa to participate for a week-long media tour. Once it gets completed, him and the team will be preparing for the 2015 ARCA Racing Series season.
"To be able to start on the front-row ten times during the season was huge for us" Mitchell stated. It allowed us to have great track position and lead laps. We took pride in our qualifying efforts all season long."
