Germán Quiroga talks about Daytona International Speedway:
What are your expectations as a competitor racing at Daytona for the very first time?
"This is the year that we have to get results and achieve goals. For sure, one of the first goals is to finish all the races. In order to win, first you have to finish. I understand Superspeedways are very hard and you can't program yourself to what's going to happen. You have to be patient; I was able to learn that at Talladega. It was my first top-10 finish in a NASCAR sanctioned event. Instead of a top-10 finish, I am looking for a top-five finish and obviously a win.
"I am with the right team and the right equipment. When you have all the right pieces, results come easy. We are going to focus on being patient in the race and ultimately trying to be in the right position within the final 10 laps and hope for a good result."
When you think of Daytona, what does it mean to you?
"It's one of the tracks that I want to win on. I went to the Rolex 24 at Daytona and just to be there is amazing. Everyone is very focused obviously. It's the biggest race of the year, so everyone has a lot of anticipation to get on track. For me, new driver, new team, this is what the season is going to be about."
