JJL Motorsports and Jesse Little confident about Gateway return

As the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series (NGOTS) treks to World Wide Technology Raceway at Gateway, Jesse Little and his JJL Motorsports are confident in their ability to duplicate their top-10 performance from last year and they are excited to announce Skuttle Tight, Grindstaff Rub, and Joe’s Pizza & Pasta with be sponsoring their Ford F150 entry in Saturday night’s CarShield 200 presented by CK Power.

Carrying the colors of Grindstaff Rub last June, Little carried his family-owned team to a solid seventh-place finish after starting ninth.

This weekend, the Sherrills Ford, N.C.-based team hopes for more of the same.

“I feel pretty good about going back to Gateway in our Skuttle Tight Ford F150,” said Little. “We have a good notebook from last year and we’re upbeat about our on-track performance from Iowa, so I’m very optimistic that we can not only get back to Gateway and repeat our run from last year but perhaps have an even better finish.”

Extending their support this weekend to Gateway is Willmar, Minn.-based manufacturer Skuttle Tight who offers two insulted attic access systems that are easy to install.

“Skuttle Tight decided and is proud to add another race with Little after the success at Iowa and the success throughout Willmar, Minnesota area with several regional based companies,” said company president Chad Kompelien.

Additionally, Grindstaff Rub with their new Kickin Carolina Sauce returns to the organization one year after their debut with Little and company last year in St. Louis.

Founded in 2016 by U.S. Air Force veteran and restaurant entrepreneur Jim Grindstaff, Grindstaff Rub Co. started as a BBQ rub company initially releasing All Purpose and Three Kings rubs, however, the company’s success has evolved into a brand and lifestyle since releasing their own version of a Bloody Mary mix and their new Kickin’ Carolina Sauce.

Now, the Belleville, Ill. company – located just 10 miles east of St. Louis, Mo. – – the heart of Midwest BBQ country, products can found in over 50 retailers within the St. Louis and metro-east area; as well as online at grindstaffrubs.com.

“I’m so appreciative for the continued support of Skuttle Tight, Grindstaff Rub and its new Kickin’ Carolina Sauce, and it’s great to have local favorite Joe’s Pizza and Pasta onboard,” added Little who will make his second start at WWTR. “Without the support of these great companies, we would not be racing. Sponsorship is so difficult today in Motorsports, so we don’t take our relationship with them or any of our partners for granted and hope they will consider doing more races in 2019.
“I can’t wait to visit Joe’s Pizza and Pasta Columbia and enjoy the great environment and see all the fans.

“I know our JJL Motorsports team is working hard to bring them a fast, competitive truck so we can end our stretch of races with some momentum on our side.”

For the 11th Gander Truck Series race of the season, JJL Motorsports welcomes Joe’s Pizza and Pasta Columbia (117 N Main St, Columbia, Illinois 62236) onboard in an associate role. And to help kick-off the partnership, Little and his team will display their No. 97 Ford F-150 on Wednesday, June 18, 2019.

From 4:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. CT, Little will meet and greet with customers, take pictures, sign autographs and unveil a new Skuttle Tight contest that will make someone’s summer more enjoyable.

With a push towards summer attire, JJL Motorsports also offered an updated inventory of items on their official online store which now includes a new tee-shirt design available in several different sizes.
